I definitely agree clairec I try not to bother too much with the scale anymore because I was seeing more a different in my clothes a pose to the numbers dropping on the scale . my nurse said to stay away from the scale for a couple weeks at a time at least then it's not such a huge disappointment to see the numbers not moving . and thank you

I'm 5 weeks post op and down 40lbs I feel a ton more energy then before . But about 3 wks post op I was re-admitted into the hospital at first they thought I was a hernia but after ct scans an what not they realized all the important things on my insides were ok but I had stretched a layer they sewed up in their way out of my belly ! It was such a horrible pain . With that being said I'm healed once again an feeling great but good is definitely becoming a issue for me . I had no issues eating at first an now it seems like it's a never ending problem I threw up all 3 meals the other day :S by the time I have to eat the thoughts of food alone make me feel sick ! After reading everyone's updates I guess it's kinda normal tho . I don't like that I can eat something one day and the next day eat the same thing an it comes back up . But I guess this is to be expected for sometime . I know I read on here right after surg that Wendy's chili was good for u an the protein as well. I am so thankful to the person that mentioned it because that's one of the things that's never made me sick . I have really enjoyed reading everyone journeys it's so inspirational to hear an see the amazing progress ya'll are making .

I had my 1 week appt today which the docs are really happy with my progress I am down 17 lbs since surgery so I feel pretty good about that and even better when I see people an they notice it. I haven't suffered from head hunger as of yet and I hope it stays that way . My biggest complaint is the pain I have on my left side an it goes all the way into my back. The doc today said it's normal but does it ever hurt like hell! I have been off the prescribed pain meds since day two of being home until today I couldn't take it anymore especially having to sit in the car 2.5 hrs to get to my appt. does anyone else suffer from this pully pain?!?

I will be soo glad to start purees and know I can get protein in that way because I just don't see the shakes getting any easier ! And yum Wendy's chili !! I'll definitely be making a stop there soon enough it amazes me this long without food ( I was on a liquid diet 3 wks pre op ) that I don't feel hungry yet however I look forward to food because I miss chewing . I love taking my calcium and vits because they're all chewable lol

My surgery was on the 28th I'm 5 days post op and having a really hard time getting the protein in ! The first shake I tried was possibly the worst thing I have ever tasted or smelled in my life! I gained 2 lbs over the time I was in the hospital and I'm down close to 30 lbs from the preop shakes to today and I'm down 11 lbs post op ! I have some discomfort still but I push my self everyday to get out there an get walking . It's really slippery outside here so my family is constantly checking on me when my bf is at work and taking me out for walks . I almost feel like an animal haha but I appreciate the help an support ! I look forward to purees anyone with any good recipes?

Well less then 8 hrs an I have to be at the hospital and I can't sleep! My actual surgery isn't until. 1045 but they want me there fr 8 . I'm so excited to start this journey but everything at this point just seems so surreal like it's finally happening! I can't wait to join the losers bench tomorrow !! Not gonna lie tho nerves are definitely kicking in now

My date is Friday the 28th I'm starting to get a little more nervous now I had my final appt last Friday with anesthesiologist it was a very thorough appt and a lit comforting too . I don't really like the fact that I won't have my time for my surgery till the day before I just hope it didn't get postponed again!
