I am having the same problem since my sleeve in April 2014, severe GERD. I have been on several meds to try and treat it with no success. I went and saw a GI doctor and he suggested I try a procedure called "Linx", if you are unsure what this is you can google it. It is not an FDA approved procedure so I am not sure I will go through with it yet, my second option is going to a bypass. I am really confused as to what to do but I want relief from this GERD like now. Would love to talk to people who have had this "Linx" or have gone from sleeve to bypass. I need to make a decision very soon. Thank You in advance

Almost a Year out..but having an issue
Lisa00 replied to Lisa00's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I just wondering if it is a hernia? I have never had one nor do I know what they feel like. Has anyone had or have a hernia, what does it feel like? -
I am almost a year out, and am having some stomch problems or so I think it is my stomach. I have been getting these like "Charley Horse" type cramps midsection to the right of my abdomen. I have had lots of scans and ultrasounds done and everything comes back fine. I called my bariatric surgeons office today and my surgeon wants to do an endoscope to see if it is possibly something to do with my sleeve. Has anyone else every expericed this type of feeling? They are extremely painful and last for up to 15-20 min and the only way to get it to go away is if I lay down on my back and strech out. Also makes me very nauseated when thesee cramps come on. Just want to see if anyone else has ever had this problem. Thanks

I really miss the chat room even though I was in and out at times. Was really nice to connect with others in real time and chat about weightloss stuff and give helpful info to others just starting their journey's. Always nice to meet new friends on it as well. I do hope that Alex will decide to bring it back. PLEASE

I was wondering what happened to the tool bar of list of friends. It is not there anymore, same as with the chat room's tool bar.

Almost 6 mo post op and feeling down. Could really use a Buddy/Mentor
Lisa00 posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am almost 6 months post op and have lately been feeling down, I have fallen off track a bit and really want to get back on track and be honest and serious about getting to my goal. I just really could use a friend who has been through this and understands without passing judgement on my getting off track but will empower me to get back on the right track to succeed at this. Please if you could be there and help me I truly would appreciate it so much. TIA Lisa -

Hi, where abouts in Oregon are you? I am in Astoria. I had my surgery on April 23rd, 2014, So I am about 2.5 weeks out. I had my surgery at Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital there in Portland. My surgeon was Emma Patterson from Oregon Weight Loss Surgery Center. Who is your surgeon, and are you looking forward to your upcoming surgery? I know I was so nervous and excited when my surgery was coming up. Do you use facebook at all? Hope to talk to you soon. Lisa

Depression right aftter weight loss surgery
Lisa00 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved on April 23,14. I fell into a slump after surgery. got majorly got depressed in the hospital and I was only there 1 night. I can just start crying at the drop of a hat. Then went home and started having urinary retention issues and then one of the incision sites broke open a little bit. I am off all the narc pain meds and nausea med that they give. However I am always so tired and feel like I can sleep the days away. I have been also having a hard time making sure I am getting my Protein and other liquids in. Has anyone else ever went through this?
