Hi Rose, Patricia here, I noticed that your from Pickering. I live in Markham, we're practically neighbours. When did you get your band put in? I had mine in on the 10th of August and I'm going for my first fill on Monday, Sept 24. I couldn't make the dinner and was sorry not to have met everyone.

Does everyone burp alot? I find now I burp more than I ever have and I'm not even on solids yet.

I agree with you there about going to TLBC for your fills....we did pay for sure. My doctor didn't seem to keen on doing the fills anyway. That's great that you managed to drive there all by yourself..I'm envious as I'm too nervous and take the subway from Scarborough Town Center. It's pretty good really and takes me right to the door at the George St. stop.

Hi Lisa, I was pretty bruised as well when I came out of surgery. The bruises disappeared in about two weeks. So you should see some change soon.

Hi Shelby, Sorry to hear that your in so much pain. When do you see your doctor again? Silly question but have you been able to go to the washroom? I ask because that could cause your discomfort.

Hi Shelby. I had port pain and it lasted about 1 week and then subsided. Where is your port located? Mine is near my belly button on the left side.

Hi Beau Yes all is going really well and so far I've lost 23 pounds. I'm really exited about the future.

Why is it because your afraid of the surgery or the change it will make in your life?

Hi Haizel, You'll do well. I was banded on the 10th of August and am now on pureed food.mmmm....I weighed in at 210 and so far have lost 20 pounds. I get my first fill on the 24 of Sept.

Hi there, I had my surgery on the 10th of August in Toronto. How about you?

Hi, I'm now getting close to pureed food and doing great. Don't worry too much about the surgery it's really okay. You'll be tender for a couple of days, take the pain medication that they give you and all will be fine. Do you know where your port is going to be put in? Mine is to the left of my belly button and so far it's fine not in the way or anything. I haven't had my first fill yet but I'm confident that it will be okay.

Before the surgery I was 210 and went down to 194. My first fill is on the 24 of Sept. and I hope that I see more progress then.
