Well, until you have done them both you really can't judge, can you? So, when you take your mountain bike down that trail, let me know if you still feel that way I will let you know but I still know sex will always win in my book lol

I had my VSG surgery in November of 13. I've lost 79 lbs since and feel much better. I too fear regaining my weight since I have a history of losing and gaining. I gained 100 lbs during my college years mostly on beer and pizza. After college I went on a 1000 calorie a day diet and lost the 100 in 6 months. Slow but sure it took me 10 years to put in back on. My MD offered me the Optifast diet and I lost 120 lbs in 6 months. Unfortunately I gained back 160 lbs over the next few years. I found myself weighing 435 and feeling hopeless. I went on a diet and lost 50 lbs on my own, then I joined a gym and lost an additional 60. I stopped going to the gym after suffering a knee injury and once again the weight came creeping back. After seeing I was back to 386 lbs, I decided to pursue WLS. So frankly I am scared poopless that one of these days I will stop losing and start to regain. I am lucky to be able to tolerate protein shakes with skim milk And usually have 3 a day in addition to a meal. I stay away from carbs and hit the gym at least 3 days a week. My goal is to get to 200 lbs. I have a long way to go but still fear regaining what I've lost. -
You can tell people on this thread are pot heads. Because only stoners would start a thread about MJ and munchies and morph it into racism and NYPD stop and frisk policies. Now wat were we talking about again?

Doctor just gave me permission to start weight training, it's been 3 months since I've been sleeved. I was okayed for Cardio a week after surgery.

Thanks you! C'mon stoners..... Focus!

Ok...... Why did the person you know "pass" during GBS? And what were the "serious" complications your friend and your cousin suffer and why? He got an infection while in the hospital went septic and never recovered.Same deal with the other 2, they both got infections has to be readmitted to the hospital but were lucky enough to have the antibiotics work for them.3 different people, 3 different hospitals. It frightened me away from GBS for 10 years.

My wife was convinced I would die also. I asked her wat if I drop dead of a heart attack or stroke. My MD finally convinced me that I was a walking time bomb and I better do something about losing weight. I did know someone younger then me that passed during gastric bypass surgery and a friend and a cousin both had serious complications also. I was sleeved in November and am down early 70lbs.
