Does chewable vitamin C hurt the stomach? I thought I was told not to take it anyone know?

Is anyone having a problem with drinking too much alcohol after the surgery? I have now become obsessed with alcohol.. kind of like I was about sweets before surgery. I've kept off 110 pounds!!!

Hi all, I've had great success with my surgery... List 100 lbs in 10 months... But I've been drinking wine again and it scares me a bit. I'm wondering if I've changed my obsession with food to alcohol. I really never drank much, I always got horrible headaches. But I don't now. Anyone else having issues like this.

Hi! I feel real blessed that I can eat most foods and have no issues. I'm down 45 lbs since May 5. I've started working out with a trainer 2 days a week and walking 3 miles other days. I'm thrilled that I did this, it's a new lease on life. I feel great and every day seems to get better. Right now I have no cravings for sweets and ice cream. I know that may not last, but right now I'm very content. Good wishes to everyone! Linda

Yea Sally , it's great to hear from you! I know all these surgerys take a toll on our bodies. I'm soooo glad I did the surgery too! Since May 5th I've lost 30 lbs and I am thrilled. I'm still anemic but not as bad as I was so I'm starting with a trainer next week. I thank God every day for this opportunity to get this weight off! I'm so glad that you posted. Linda

Was told not to drink our calories, so how do you get all of the protein you need ? I'm kind of hungry and I'm 12 days out.

Hi all, had my surgery on May 5th. No complications and I'm starting to feel pretty good. Not as scary as thought either. I'm excited to begin the whole process. Great news! Good luck! Tomorrow is my preop so ill see if I pass my EKG!!! I've been cleared by the cardiologist , just have to see how it all turns out, I'll be thinking of you, Linda

Hi SPG, my surgery is on the 5th of May I'm not too nervous yet, I'm excited. And ready!!! I have a 19 month grandson he is soooo full of energy and he's so much fun. Keep posting and so will I .Linda

Well I'm not a Dr , but I have that same problem. Not that this is the answer, but I have large breasts... 42GG. My cardiologist said that sometimes a technician does not place the leads on the right place on women with large breasts. You can look it up on the Internet. Before I had a procedure last fall, my EKG came back abnormal and I had a stress test and ultrasound and they cams back normal. I have my pre-op on the 25th. And I intend on planning for this issue. Good luck with this and hopefully it can be resolved. Look up abnormal EKG with women who have large breasts on the web.

Hi everyone it's Linda . Haven't seen any post lately, how is everyone? I'm getting antsy now! I'm on the 5th of May. My Dr does not require a diet or anything before surgery. I just have to drink the magnesium drink to clean me out! So I've been eating everything I might miss!!! Please let me know how everyone is doing... Linda

Yea Sally , I'm glad you're doing better all the time! I did the Avon walk in NYC in 2007, it's amazing ,fun and inspiring! I'm scheduled for May 5th and I'm having a terrible time eating all of the bad things I won't get to eat after surgery. Any body else do this?!!! Hi all, just got my date May 5 th........"yikes". I'm actually pretty happy about it. Hearing everyone's stories has helped a lot. I go to a support group, and it's been eye opening. Mostly good stories. So keep the posts coming, we can all benefit from them!. Linda
