    Its more than a stall

I had a 5 week stall! It is hard to see the scales stop, but it will change!

    Did I eat too much?

Don't stress.Just measure your food and talk to your NUT/surgeon if you're worried. I am nearly 3 months post op and second myself alllllll the time - I always compare what I eat to Instagram posts, lol, and it's just a waste of time. We are all different!

    3 months Post-Op

You have all done GREAT! I am around 11 weeks post op and am down 41 pounds or so, and I am SO HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!! I am beyond stoked.

    Gained weight

My scales go up and down all the time. I stall, I gain, I lose etc. Day 10 is super early, so don't even bother with weighing. You will be fine!

Can I have bread and if not why?

My nut actually pushed me to eat bread (as toast) for breakfast and has no qualms about it. The reason being is if I eat anything runny or mushy, especially liquids or yoghurt, I get SO sick!! It goes straight through me, so she said do some toast. I never eat the whole piece but it's just adds substance and I tolerate food that way.
  6. Gosh, I love nothing better than eating a banana....some people on here really demonise foods that aren't quite chicken or cottage cheese. I love to mix banana with egg to cook Protein pancakes, or even smoothies! If you're posting about pizza, take away and ice cream, OK, you might get some nasty responses....but a banana!? Sheeshhhhh people. Leave the poor gal alone!

Can I have bread and if not why?

I usually do egg with toast - and it goes down Ok. Wraps are also fine for me! I was never told to keep away from bread....and I eat grainy or wholemeal pieces, not white.
  8. I would love to know what a day in the life of 'you' is like! What's generally on your plate? Are you snacking between meals, or do you try 3 meals and then that's it? I also need to know tips for boredom eating - I need to STOP thinking about food when my mind begins to wander and I also need to resist snacking after dinner. So far I am going quite well and avoiding this boredom eating, but other times I find my hand reaching for the fridge (grrr). So far, at 7 weeks out, I tend to do: Breakfast - half a piece of Soy and Linseed toast with a poached egg (I used to try a shake but for some reason my sleeve dumps anything liquidy or 'slider' foods for breakfast). Snack - I go for a Greek yoghurt or nibble on a Protein bar lunch - generally I go for a high protein meal or leftovers from dinner, but never eat a lot. Sometimes it's chicken and salad, or bolognese mince with cheese. Snack - usually I'll finish my snack from the morning! Dinner - chicken etc with a small side of salad.

    No weight loss yet

If you search up posts like this, you will see that due to being so fresh out of surgery, your body is full of fluids, has gone through a huge shock, and you are definitely at the time where you need to rest and just let your body do its thing. Don't be so hard on yourself, you will lose!

    What's on your plate?

Awesome! Some people are so super strict - I wish I was. I am not slacking off, but I certainly can't stomach a lot of protein, and cottage cheese, ughh!

    What's on your plate?

Thanks again!! I try to log calories but because I sometimes can't finish food, or my restriction is more/less some days, I find that I don't think the calories I log are very accurate! I know I will get used to it all as time goes on.

    Have i really lost weight?

If you take photos, measurements and also keep tabs on how clothes feel, I think you'll really find a difference. I can tell my face and shoulders are losing the majority of the weight, as I am only 7 weeks post op, and I can't wait til it reaches my tummy area!!

    Starving!

I am a revision patient too - I promise it gets better and it really does feel SO good after those first couple of weeks. Hang in there!

    What's on your plate?

Thanks guys - some great ideas there. I am really noticing my sweet tooth emerging after dinner, so it's something I am struggling with this week. Ugh! But I really do need to up my protein. So hard!!

    August Sleevers

How are you all going now?

Nervous to go under the knife AGAIN

I can relate! I have had gallbladder out, band in, band out and then my sleeve recently. I have kids and I was SO scared. I thought I would die or get a leak, and I felt like a terrible mother. I thought I would lose my job and my life would be ruined. Omg, I was just so so so so scared. However, I am SO happy now and it has been a great journey thus far. Good luck with it all

    Acid Reflux

Nothing at all for me - it's so good!! I have never felt any type of reflux with my sleeve.
  18. missblonde20

    Band to Sleeve Revision

I am loving my sleeve! The band was just vomiting, starving, reflux and pain. I just love the sleeve; no reflux, no vomiting, no pains. I can EAT real food, just smaller portions, and I have lost 33 pounds so far. I want to get at least another 45 pounds off, but I know that it might take a while. I had my sleeve in mid July, so I hope that by January I have shed most of it!

    What's on your plate?

Thanks for the input @@missdeeAus and I like your ideas for after dinner/boredom! I usually have a tea sometimes with Stevia to get that 'sweet' escape. Curried egg sounds yummy too. I can't seem to stomach boiled eggs well so some curried egg sounds great.
  20. I was very very sensitive for the first month or so, and I am still sometimes dealing with issues. Even today, 7 weeks out, I had a light coconut milk chia seed pudding that I made (very healthy) and it just didn't sit right. I felt seedy and like I had drank a litre of thick cream! It was too rich. I have even had chicken go 'straight through me' so it's just a hit and miss issue at the start for me!
  21. I stalled from week 4-7 and finally dropped weight today! YAY!!!!!!! You will break that stall 100%

    Food for work

I love cruskitts (thin crispbreads) with hummus or peanut butter. SO yummy. I also pack hummus with crackers sometimes. Fruit is another idea too. I really need more protein rich ideas though
  23. Let me say, I saw my surgeon at 5 weeks post op (I am now 7) and I am in Australia (where it doesn't seem as hardcore as the US rules) and he was so easy going about alcohol. I said I have a wedding in October and he was like 'enjoy it, have a drink. See how you feel - if it's not agreeing with you then OK, you should stop. If it's fine, then it's fine'. So I'd just ask your surgeon and then go from there
