I am now 10 weeks pregnant and I have been having alot of pain at my port site. It seems to be mostly after eating. It is just really sore. Even when I haven't eaten in a while, I will get sharp pains from bending over or simple activity. I am concerned that something is wrong with my port? Could it be that things are just moving around in there and it is rubbing on a rib? Has anyone had this kind of pain with pregnancy? I would think if it was because I am too tight, that it would hurt someplace other than my port. Not sure. Please help.

10 weeks pregnant with port pain

My port is on my left side about an inch or so below my rib. When I eat it feels like the turkey timer trying to pop up. Like the turkey is done or something. Well that's how I feel at least. -
I had sushi on Friday and I asked them to make me a roll without the rice. Also most places have soybean paper (if you ask for it) that they wrap rolls in instead of the seaweed. I'm sure they thought I was weird for ordering it that way (no rice) but who cares. It was so yummy too!

I can't stand to be cold when I exercise so I walk at the mall in the mornings before the stores open.

I used to buy the edamame in the pods from Sams Club, but I found the shelled edamame in the freezer veggie section at most stores (walmart, tom thumb, kroger) and now I love them even more. I just started adding a little ranch powder mix to them after I cook and drain and my 3 year old son gobbles it down.

Hi Pipa, I am in Arlington. Don't worry, I was really scared before the surgery. I even put things in order because I was scared I wasn't going to wake up from the surgery. My husband was pretty dismissive about it. I'm not sure if he thought I was being stupid to think that or if deep down he was a little scared too. I'll think you'll be surprised at how sympathetic he is for you after the surgery though. Mine still is (It has been almost 2 weeks now) and he even eats slow with me at dinner so that I am not eating alone. I am not on here too often (once a week). But I will look for you and feel free to chat back. I don't have many friends, but the ones I have are not worried about their weight and don't understand. My sister in law is scheduled for surgery on the 25th though. So she will understand. Hope this helps.

I have always had urinary problems and my doc says that your urine should be pale in color and no big odor. Also, I don't drink alot during the day and my doc says that there is a lot of water in all the foods we eat so not to worry so much. Just make sure you drink a couple of glasses a day of some kind of liquid. Water is best!

My surgery was on Dec. 31 and I asked them specifically about this. They said to try not to get them wet in the shower (not possible) and when they start to come off by themselves then it is ok to go ahead and peel it off the rest of the way. Itching is good! Means it is healing nicely. Hope this helps!

I had surgery on 12/31/07 and I am having throat pain. I am so thirsty all the time and when I take a drink, it is like it gets stuck in my throat at the top. I sometimes end up vomiting up what just went in. It is like a stone stuck in my throat and I can't swallow it. Has anyone else had this problem? Could it be swelling from the breathing tube? Will it go away? Please help. I need a light at the end of the tunnel.:help::whoo:

JowJow, I am having the same problem with motivation. I drop my son at school at 8am and by 11am I pick him up and wonder where the day has gone. I have good intentions everyday. I even get up and dress in work out clothes, but somehow I find other things to do other than exercising. I just hate the thought of exercise. Just gotta do it though and change my whole attitude. My neighbor is starting to walk every morning, so I am going to start with her tomorrow. Walking with a friend is always easier, it seems.
