  1. Scout.. ? I had surgery on 12/12 and I'm still swelling I am up 7lbs I started running again (training for a half marathon at the end of March) I know the weight is water swelling cause if I take a water pill I loose it all but gain it all back with in 3 days.. I have increased my water and keep my compression shorts on but is there something Im Doing wrong? My dr too is not concerned ( you can swell for 6-9 months) I just hate this puffy feeling and I weigh more now than before surgery . I was 3 years out from my sleeve surgery and had never gained. I had maintained for 2 years before this surgery and to see the scale go up and not come down is freaking me out! I just need someone to tell me it's going to get better..
  2. I had my 6 week check up today and they removed 50cc of fluid so another week off work and back to DR next week to recheck. Hopefully if will stay gone. They said the water pill will halo the legs swelling but not the fluid that is like a waterbed in the pubic area;( it's all good tho. I do feel good and scar is healing great! So happy to hear how good your doing. I know these are small set backs in the bigger picture. Again thanks for the advise and support!
  3. Just wondering if your swelling has come back? I too have had issues with swelling. I'm 5 weeks out from a Panni removal and I feel great but have been swelling in thighs and pubic area. Right below my Scar it looks like a waterbed at times. Compression shorts, ice, rest and elevation helps. I know I don't get enough water in and I'm trying to drink more. I took a water pill which helped ALOT but wondering if your having trouble with the swelling coming back.
  4. Thank you !! Will do so happy I found this forum!! I appreciate the advise.
  5. You gotta take it easy. It's hard to know how much is too much. You almost have to use trial and error. Except we need to err on the side of caution and not push our luck. Thanks ya I felt good so I thought walking more would be ok.. Any suggestions for helping the swelling?
  6. I am 3weeks out from abdominal skin removal and I felt great so I went for a longer walk than normal and ending up walking 3 miles .. That was this morning .. Tonight I feel horrible. I'm so swollen in my hips legs and pubic area. My skin feels so tight and I feel yucky I can't explain it just don't feel good. I have completely scared my self;( and wondering how to know what too much is before it's too much? I felt great the whole time I was walking. And now that I have done too much now what don't do? Im going to sleep in the recliner tonight with feet up hoping this helps and took a pain pill which I had stopped taking. Any suggestions?

    Are you COLD?

I am 3 years out this Jan;) and I have been freezing ever since I first left the hospital ! It's crazy I have never been cold but now always... In the summer it's great but the winters not so great .. I never a had a jacket before the Surgery and now I have many! Sometimes I have to several warm showers just to get warm before getting in bed.. No chance of getting an electrics blacker if I want to still sleep with my husband he stays Hot all the time so he's my own personal heater.. But at work it's tough too I have a space heater under my desk and I have to the sink and run hot water to thaw out my hands a couple times a day.. People think I'm crazy;) small price to pay I guess ..

    Panni without full tummy tuck

I too had a Panni on 12/12/13 and my insurance paid for everything belly button and below, except now I have no belly button. They quoted me 6000. for a new belly button and the upper belly with a full TT. I opted for the covered procedure. I am not disappointed at all. Still swollen so will need to wait to see what I'm left with after swelling goes away. But just having the lower gone and not having to tuck it in my jeans is going to be enough for me.. I can't stop looking in the mirror.
