How's your weight loss? I was stalled for a couple of weeks but it's starting to fall off again.
-
I guess I'm doing okay. There's a lot of stuff I can't tolerate so I'm learning to eat all over again. Still using protein shakes. How have you been?
-
@@QueenBx what has your nutrition approved you to eat? I'm just curious because I never received a list of does and don't. I was told to eat soft meat and veggies and chew until mushy.
-
Lol- well I do not have a nutritionists, my surgeon told me that I can have soft protein and veggies. So yeah no tuna for you for now lol. Maybe I should find me a nutritionist
-
For my tuna I use 1 small can of tuna, mayo, mustard, sweet relish (about 1.5 tsp), a boiled egg, salt and pepper and a little slap your mama. Today I plan on trying deviled eggs. Wow 60 oz!!!! Thats a lot, are you drinking or sipping? Maybe my problem is I'm still sipping. I keep Water with me everywhete I go but I'm never able to finish it all and I'm so tired of crystal light. But you doing 60 oz means it can be done. I'll just have try harder.

@@Who'sThere, like you I do not know what it's like to feel full. I only eat when I feel hungry and then I stop after eating 3-4 oz then I no longer feel hungry but I do not feel full either (I hope this makes sense) I'm thinking as time passes this will get better? When was your surgety? My lapband to rny was on Dec 7th.

@@QueenBx girl I want Chipotles. But I have to admit that I'm liking mushy. I'm in Texas and there must be like 4 bbq spots not far from me and I like to get the smoked chicken thigh (no sauce), it's tender and gets mushy easily, plus the flavor is amazing. But I can only eat about half before I get full. Are you expermenting with your food? I was bored at first b/c all I ate was yogurt, cottage cheese, Soup and canned tuna. I just odered me a pressure cooker, I'm going to try to make my own healthy version of soft mushy Protein and veggies. Are you getting your Water? I'm still having trouble! Any ideas please share.
-
Well I'm happy to hear you're doing better. I had to drink protein shakes and clear liquids for 21 days and I wanted to eat something so bad that I thought I was going to loose my mind. But even on the soft and mushy diet I am still having trouble getting in all my protein so I still have protein drinks as well.

@@sleeveisa I justed noticed that we had the same sugery date! How are you doing so far? I'm still struggling with the urge to eat something!Hi there, what can I say. I've been in the hospital twice. Last thurdsay I was complaining of chest pains and trouble breathing. I was discharged this past Saturday. Still uses trying to get all my Protein. For some reason I'm spitting up so much saliva. Not sure why? I hope I get an answer from my surgeon tomorrow. Hope u r feeling well. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using the BariatricPal App Hello again I just wanted to follow up to how you been. Are feeling any better now. Me, I'm feeling okay and I am amazed at how I have no urge to eat inbetween meals.

@@QueenBx I am so done. In the beginning it didn't seem too bad but 14 days in and I have run out of ways to make this protein drinks appetizing. Can't wait for my first soft scrambled egg in just seven more days.
-
I had my staples removed today and I am so glad because they were hurting. So now I just have 8 more days of thin liquids and then I can begin soups with the all the fixings (the meat and the vegetables). Yay!
-
Wow @sleevesia and here I am complaining about wanting something to eat. I am sorry you're such problems. I had a lot of neck and shoulder pain about 4 days post op but it was definitely gas and it didn't go away for about 2 days. Lets just hope that whatever is happening is only temporary and the worst part is already behind you. Take care and I hope you feel better soon! I will f/u to check on you and if possible, try to get your protein, water and vitamins down. Good Luck.

Girl I am losing my mind! IDK how much longer I can take it, lol! It was a lot easier immediately post op becsuse i didnt have an appetite but for the last 3-4 days I have been getting craving REAL food. Since I have not been cooking my husband has been buying a lot of takeout for him and the kids and in the last three days they have had KFC, Japanese food on Sunday and today they are eating pizza and wings as I type this entry. Girl when I just want to grab a wing and chow down lol.

Great I hope you enjoy!

You're off to a really great start. Congratulations! I think we had surgery on the same day. Today I'm post-op day eight and I'm down 12 lbs.
-
Congratulations! So did I.
-
@ that is a GREAT idea! I will definitely be at the dollor tree looking for those jars tomorrow. Thanks for sharing. @@SassyMedic congratulations. I was discharged on Friday and I was surprised that I slept so well. But then on Saturday morning at about 330am I woke up to the most excruciating gas pain in my neck and shoulders and to me it was just as bad if not worse than the surgical pain. So just remember to walk almost as much as you sip liquids! I walked about 4-5 times a day and that still was not enough. Oh and I'm still working on my liquid intake. I'm constantly trying to get it in but its a real struggle for me, but as long as I just keep sipping I should okay.

Revision to Bypass, RNY from any Surgey coming up.... anyone else?

@pipergurl. I agree it was a lot less painful to have my lap-band. I'm having my own issues but I don't deal with them at work, my heart goes out to you. Hope you feel better soon. -
@@bananashake I have so many TJ's favs I get excited just thinking about it. I have my freezer stocked with the fish nuggets my entire fam likes them. The stuffed lobster is in the feezer as well. I also like the orange chicken, teriyaki chicken, chicken fried rice, organic ketchup, cheese curls and puffs, garlic olive oil, dried fruits, etc. I also like their multi Vitamins and body butter. They are not on my side of town because I'm in a more rural area so when I go I really stock up . As far as my post op exp. I have my good days and my bad days. My biggest challenge is trying to stay hydrated. Today was one of my worst days yet. I felt like i did well with liquids yesterday and my urine was light yellow however this a.m. my urine was amber. So now I'm thinking that I should also try drinking liquids throughout the night.

@@Pipergurl congratulations! I had my lap band to rny on Wed Dec 7th. How are you coming along? -
I'm glad you like it. And if you want to get more protein you can add unflavored protein to your soup. It takes some tweeking because it does change the appearance and consistency of your soup. But at least you're getting more protein right. Oh and the same if you use crystal light you can add unflavored protein to it as well.

@@QueenBx I am drinking the optisource for 10 days, crystal lite, broth, sugar free jello, sf popsicles and sf fudge pops. My broth is not usually the box. I buy soup and strain the liquids because to me the liqiuds from the soup tastes better than the broth. Oh and sip lots of water I keep a tumbler with ice water next to me at all times.
-
@@QueenBx I'm glad you doing fine. The worst part is over! I was discharged today and headed home now. I've been looking up different ideas for thin liquids. How long will you be on thin liqiuds?

@@LadyB_atx have you been able to tolerate all your liquids?
