    OK....how did you know.....

So I guess the stomach noises and burping are all normal...I haven;'t thrown up or felt nauseated and I have learned that when I say...one more bite..DONT DO IT I have done that twice now because I feel like I should be eating more volume and I felt like I would pre surgery and ate a thanksgiving diiner and too much pie!

What to eat 6 weeks post op!?!

And they will notice you are not drinking anything with your meal.
  6. I always still drink a protein shake a day... I will also drink zero carb isopure protein drinks Unjury has an unflavored protein you can add to your foods. If there are smoothie kings were you live, you can get a 20 oz gladiator drink...45 grams of protein...you can sip on it all day, or I have done 1/ and frozen the other half for the next day.

    Any Buddies in Houston, Texas?

Check with your doctor or hospital to see if they have any support groups. Memorial southeast does....I think the 3rd Wednesday night of the month. They have one this Wednesday.
  8. I work at a private school so we were out for Christmas break anyway....so I got 2.5 weeks off. This past week I did 2 days and this next week I will he back to my regular schedule. For me the 2- 2 weeks I felt like I could do it. I do get tired towards the end of my day but I think that is going to he normal anyway until I can work foods into my diet....what body wouldn't be tired when living off of only 400- 500 calories of liquids and purees a day?

I just found something made with Stevia to flavor water..its called Stur...you can go to amazon and put that into the search engine and it comes right up. I just got some....good replacement for crystal light. Its a subtle flavor, but I am very happy with it.

    Incissions!

I have one in my fat roll that is tkaing longer to heal..I am 2 weeks out...It kepy getting pulled on because of the location..one thing you can do for a week or so is wear a belly brace (band) It keeps my from bending over too much, twisting that area so the incision doesn;t get rubbed pulled on etc. I had soe redness around it, it had a pea size lump and it hurt bad, but after wearing this for a week it is having a chance to heal better.

    My latest love: Fruit-Infused Water

    such a great idea...gonna try
  20. I am starting post op week 3 today and can start tryig mushy foods. I also had my gallbladder removed when I was sleeved as well. This morning I made a scrammbled egg in a spray of olive oil cooking spray... I ate 1/2 of it over a 30 minute period...had a ton of burping and was in the bathroom with a very loose BM 5 minutes after. Is this normal when you start mushy foods in general? Does having my gallbladder out make any difference? When you started muchy foods, did you do 3 meals of it that day or work your way up to it? Or how did you do it? Sorry for all the questions...my surgeon is fabulous but his staff is not and emailing the nurse is not fun...we tend to "correct" one another. Thank you!
  21. I work at a private school so I have 3 weeks to recover over Christmas break...but if I had to choose when I go back..I would say 2 weeks. I am 2 weeks post op today and finally feel like myself and feel like I can last all day.
