Ty so much. They're mommas pride and joy!

I am so blessed to have all of ur support. Ty for just letting me rant about the dh and rave on and on about my lil miracles. I do try to be everything I can and then some for my kiddos, and now is their time to shine and take the priceless bonds we have and enrich them going thru this together. We will grow, and we will succeed. And I feel it's cause I have this wonderful support system on this forum. I apologize if I rant too much.

I outta tell ya, my daughter is a high functioning cp child with oxygen needs. Since u are in this field, you will know what these diagnosis mean. This her list. Asthma Apnea sleep/and awake Reflux Epilepsy -Allergy to Protein ... All Proteins. She's on an amino acid supplement EO28 splash -trach malacia -bronchial malacia Atelectisis of the left lung (her left lung collapsed and grew shut) that's why she's on oxygen. Allergies to enviromental , seasonal, and more An believe it or not, I can take her oxygen off so she can do ballet pics, but she dances in oxygen, and is really good at it!!! This her... Bella Grace Here is my daughter Harley Paige. She has mosaic downs. And she is BEAUTIFUL! Both of my girls with special needs are!!!

Thank you. I have been thinking about this for over a year, talked to a therapist, and even weighed it all out in my day to day life. I looked at how my kids will be effected. And after talking to the 3 older kids, I'm confident that this is what they want. They have been part of the process. They've known this was what I was thinking and they actually want it too! They think it will make everyone happy in the long run. And I'm ashamed to say, they will be happier when we don't have the tensions in the house. That said, I'm ok with my choice.... And they're on board!?! It's a good time to do it!

I have an update, posting it in rants now. I know I'm gonna catch a lot of crap for it from some, but just know I'm ok with my decisions!

Waiting for surgery til sept. But a yr out, I will be "cured" from my comorbid conditions, and MAYBE even a size 8- from a 18! I have high hopes!! Lol

It is a proven fact, that any narcotics will labor ur breathing! Are you on pain meds? Try not taking th til u get up and motivated, walk a lil and then take em. See if that helps til you can get into the dr! Hope that was useful info!! keep us posted on how ur doing and what the doc says!!

One of the nice things about MFP or the one I use is lose it, it's a lil more private, no one can see ur food logs an ur still accountable to ur self, is these apps take the calorie guess work out of it. We put in how much of something we eat, and it does the work for you! It makes it really hard to "mess up" ur calorie counting. It even has a place where u put in what u want ur weight to be and by when, and it gives you ur daily calorie allowance!! I like lose it (the app looks like an orange scale) because it has goals for me to work towards to keep me motivated til surgery. Then they reward you with badges. It's a really cool app. Point I'm trying to make.... A very sweet gentlemen (who I will leave name less) taught me how to log my foods. And since then, I'm shocked at how much I was actually eating! I didn't think I ate a lot til I seen it on my app. Then it was my wake up call! Like I tell everyone now, I didn't get fat by LOOKING at food.... That I promise you! I'm an over eater!! Hello my name is Misty and I NEED to log my food so I don't over do it!! :)

My advice to u is to drive over to the surgeons an d not leave until u have the answers/dates you need. This would tick me off not getting answers! I sympathize with u completely!!!

Also u can add mio to it or crystal light and it does mask the taste! Food for thought!

Im watching biggest loser and she said "you just said it yourself, I've never been good enough and that's your story. It's time to rewrite that story"! Well ladies and gents that just hit this fat girl smack dab in the big ole face! I AM rewriting my story, and I AM good enough an I DO deserve this life I am giving myself on this journey!!! This is one of MY personal battles! I have never been good enough or never mattered enough, or I've always put myself way below everyone else. It's my turn to do something for me and not for someone else and yes I do matter, and yes I am deserving of this, and oh yeah I WILL do this!!! *Feeling really empowered and good about my journey tonite!*

Dee! Ty lady. My true ephinany came 12/27/13 when I had just been admitted into the hospital again for the 4th time in 3 mos with a copd exacerbation, asthma, and emphysema. When I to the er, the dr told me I was too young for all this. And that's when it hit me something was really wrong. I talked to my pcp and Taaaa Daaaa! I'm here. I jus love when I am watching something or hear something said like this... That just makes me realize where I went so wrong in life! And this is one of those areas. I DO have to rewrite my story and make it what I want it to be. I can't allow my medical problems to define me anymore! I define me! I make me who I want me to be! I want to be a fit mom that her kids are proud of, it ashamed of! I wanna be a better example to my kids. I want off the bipap machine that scares my 3 yr old. I want to be responsible for being a success for once in my life! And guess what.... I CAN and WILL do this for my self and most of all for my children! I want them to know you chose your destiny... It doesn't chose you! You take life by the balls and make it work for you... Don't work for life!

Well I remembered seeing ur post yesterday about the hiccups.... And when dr oz was talking about it, I ran to my phone and started looking for the post! Lol .... Yeah I know I'm obsessed! Lol ... But he said to take ice water and gargle it and I was curious how it worked... They never did say how it helped... Just that it helps!

This one is totally full of wisdom!!! This is exactly why I adore this site! There are great and honest people and lots of info here! Congrats on ur surgery! I know u will do well! Also, just seen on dr oz, ice water! Gargle it!!! It's supposed to stop hiccups! Hope this helps!
