Have u started the diet? Its brutal! I have 4 kids and a dh. They had steak for dinner....and I was eating a salad wish like heck it was steak! Lol So happy to have great surgery buddies!!

I am on day one of my diet. I have a filter scheduled for thurs and then surgery on the following tues. I swear to God I feel like I could starve to death! I have been doing this surgery prog for 6 mos. And I'm down to 212lbs. I just cant wait to get back to me! Oh so much excitement! And nerves of steel!!! Then cryin cause I'm feeling deprived. Ugh. Feel so bipolar!!

The 16th is my daughters 20 th bday!!!

I am so stoked to have 2 surgery buddies!!! This is amazing. I have to have a filter for blood clots put in on the 10th of july....then its on to surgery!! I am super excited. And a whole lotta nervousness too. How are u coping?

I also use the pure protein! Super good stuff. And I also dont mind the EAS one from walmart either. Its not a disgustingly.rich one either. ....

Ok here are my 10! I am so thankful for this thread. 10. Being a healthy mom of 6. 9. Being able to take long romantic walks without being exhausted or winded. 8. Shopping in normal departments of clothing stores. 7. Bras finally fit. 6. Able to wear a button up shirt comfortably. 5. Able to wear a bathing suit. 4. Able to gp on outings with my family and not being the biggest one there. 3. Take full body pics! 2. Being able to breathe again without 36 meds monthly for breathing and all my comorbidities. 1. Finally feeling comfortable being naked infront of men or a mirror. This is huge for me. Havent had sex with lights on in years.

So glad to follow u on this roller coaster ride. I too am a diabetic and am glad to know the signs. Glad to know what to watch for. Thanks so much for sharing!

Mine is pencil dated for 7/2/14. But subject to change waiting insurance approval. Im starting to get excited. Are u? Do u find urself looking at food and thinkin. ....well oh I cant eat this after surgery? I am finding that ALOT. Lol.

Love love love all the info! Ty so much!!! You have no idea how much we appreciate all the great advice. We are so thankful anytime someone shares their experience! Side note... my dr said have a ton of gas-x strips on hand. He said they work and help emensly with the post op gas. food for thought.
