As anyone used Dr Timothy Custer or had their surgery performed at FMC? I do know Dr Custer is a gifted surgeon. When I was 8 mos preg he operated on me and took out my gall bladder when it had a duct blocked. He was fantastic with that and the compassion he had with my unborn baby was just amazing! I'm just not sure what to expect with WLS and how he does it, or what FMC is like after surgery? I have a ton of questions to ask one of his former patients! Lol

Have u tried making ur own Popsicles using ur shakes? My mom makes protein Shake Popsicles an they're really good and a great way to get in a low calorie high protein snack!

Nope you aren't the only one that has that critical person in their life! My parents would kill me if they knew I was doing it.... So I'm gonna wait and tell em after the fact. My "wonderful" ass of a husband, keeps saying " just seems stupid to go thru all that". He really doesn't get it. His fear is I'm gonna get on shape and not want him anymore..... Truth is I don't wanna be in this marriage NOW! Lol and he's been told that. I think he's trying to wait for me to have the surgery and then he has something besides himself to blame it on. Hahahaha Point I was trying to make is that no matter who or what we do in life, there's always gonna be a critic in the background with a reason "it won't work". We have to be strong an know to come here and get all the help we need. We have an amazing support system here and I personally treasure it heart and soul!!!

Was anyone else having trouble seeing the threads? For the last 2 hours, every time I would try to view a thread.... It gave me an error message! Then the sucker locked me out and wouldn't let me log in!! Arugh! *screams loudly* I was having withdrawals not being able to read threads. Hey lady! I seen ur post and wanted to check in and see how things are going with ya!? How are things with hubby? The reason I'm asking is I'm kinda going thru the same thing right now with mine, but the problem is I haven't even had the surgery yet. As soon as I announced I wanted to go thru with it... He was totally not on board. And urs sounds exactly like mine! I'm just curious where things are now? At the rate I'm going I don't see us making it to WLS date. Ugh!

Not sure how I missed this thread!! But here are mine! 1. Not give up waiting on weigh-ins to be over and insurance to approve me! 2. go thru with the surgery. 3. Learn to eat healthier 4. Learn how to love food in a healthy manner. 5. Work on liking fruit. That I do not do well. Lol 6. Work on getting off my bipap machine and get more sleep, without waking up choking.

I would suggest going to the er! If it is a twisted intestine... That's the only way to know and get it fixed. If it's something else... They can fix that too. Seriously, don't risk ur health ...please! This could be minor, or something really major. Get checked for ur own sake!

I'm ur neighbor! I'm in Lancaster Ohio!

I gre up in green! Lived on king aurther dr. And went to Kleckner elementary. Hahaha what a small world. U never hear of anyone living there. I moved to Lancaster Ohio, about 30 mins south of Columbus. Love it here!

This is one area that thoroughly pisses me off! Seeing parents that are already over weight, making their innocent babies over weight! Wth is wrong with ppl today!? Do they not get that it is killing themselves not to mention they're doing it to their child!?! Not that I'm a perfect parent but NONE of my kids are over weight (except the one living on her own... That's another story ... And she wasn't til she left home!) my kids are healthy and active. The drs all say they are all in the 50-60th percentile. As a parent I don't wants kids to battle what I am ... I want them to make healthy choices and NOT over eat. If they say they're full... They're done! There's no clean ur plate rules in my house. I want them to have healthy relationships with food. Why can't all parents see what I see? It just burns my ass!
