I am a elementary school music teacher who is in her 30s. I decided back in April of 2013 to have surgery. Due to some insurance issues (no it was not an approval issue) I have not had surgery yet. I have completed all the requirements outlined by my medical group. My hope is that I will have surgery in mid-late Jan. or in early February. I think my new surgery date will be set in a few weeks. In the months since I decided to have surgery I have watched many videos and read many sources about the sleeve. I have started my WLS journal and have started reading books. At the moment I am not sure I have any questions. Not because I think I know everything, but I think it is because the side effects, etc are very specific to each person and I guess I do not know how my body will respond to the surgery. My surgeon is Dr. Rami Lufti in Chicago, IL. I will have my surgery at St. Joseph Hospital.

I joined this site because I would like to connect with another Christian woman whom has just had or will have VSG. It is my belief that someone who is like minded in the Christian faith will understand how vital Christ and His word will be on this journey to health.
