Thanks for all the compliments. This has been an amazing journey and gets better every day. Working abs and core everyday.

I don't think your doing anything wrong 42lbs is a lot and you should be proud, just keep following your drs plan and try not to worry about to much about the scale, focus on how your clothes fit looser and how much more energy you have.

Lol, guys at work have been breaking my chops about how much weight I dropped and they will say "hay I heard you're wife is cheating on you with some skinny guy". In all reality I couldn't of asked for a better support partner she's had my back since day 1, weather overweight or skinny I've been blessed everyday since finding her.

Awesome job, keep up the hard work.

Two days away and I cried...

I felt the same way and was scared up until they put me under. Now almost 5 months post op I'm a totally different man, more active, healthier, I haven't felt or looked this good my entire life, went from size 40 pants and tight xxl shirts to 34-36 pants and l-xl shirts. Now my wife who has been trying to do it on her own and struggling as long as I have is going through the process to get the surgery and join me on this journey. -
It's normal to stress, but stay positive, follow your drs advise and diet plans and you'll do great

It gets better everyday, I know it's difficult but try not to be too concerned with the scale, follow your drs plan and you'll do great. Best of luck to you.

Am I really making the right decision?

I felt the same way, actually chickened out a few years ago, 1/2 way through the process for the lap band I lost a ton if weight and backed out. This past sept I could barely fit in my class A uniform and started the process for the sleeve, the morning jan 24th I was scared to death and almost walked out of hospital and now over 4 months out I am in the best shape of my life, so much more energy worki out all the time, in fact my wife saw how successful I'm doing and has decided to have the surgery as well. My only regret was not doing it sooner. Best of luck -

I'm in the same boat as others has posted, several years ago I was gonna do the lap-band and backed out after losing some weight then I put the weight back on plus some extra, sept of '13 I went back and spoke to dr and he told me I would be an excellent canadate for the sleeve and I had the surgery in jan and my only regret is not doing it sooner, my whole life has changed, so much more energy. Good luck with journey no matter what you choose. -

Call your dr and let them know what's going on, better to be safe then sorry -
That's awesome, keep up the hard work.

It's perfectly normal, I almost chickened out at the last minute, but then I thought I don't want to keep living in a size xxl clothing that was getting tight and being tired all the time, from that day on I tried to stay positive, and cut out saying certain words like "can't" or "only". Being 4 months out my only regret is is that I didn't do this sooner, I have so much more energy and love being outdoors spending time with family and friends.

Congratulations, that's awesome -
I was having the same concerns so I asked my dr and he advised my that's its normal since there's not as much going in, said to call him if I had any stomach pains or discomfort due to constipation. But you should always ask your drs advise just to be on the safe side.

Congrats, way to go.

Weight lost compared to how well the diet/exercise plan was followed?
Fullofitx3 replied to snowkitten's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Age- 43 Starting wait just prior to surgery 260ish 1st month 25lbs 2nd month 20lbs I didn't weight again till 4 month check up with dr- 30lbs and haven't weight in again since. I follow drs advise about Protein 1st then veggies and starch last, I have cheated here and there but haven't had the urge to bin like before with other diets. I workout in the gym 3-4 days a week doing cardio and body weight training, the rest of the time I try to get exercise in by walking, yardwork, biking or just staying active. -
That's a great idea to change breakfast up, been eating eggs just about every morning.

You look great, congratulations on your success. -
Back in jan / dec I started a post "the new me in 14" and wanted to let everyone how much my life has changed since having surgery. These past couple of weekends have been terrific, went to six flags and rode roller coasters with fear that I wouldn't fit in the seat or that the straps wouldn't hold me, went to a May-fest and enjoyed walking around all day enjoyed paddle-boating with the kids and the best part was not spending a fortune on food, had a shrimp kabob and was good for the afternoon. I have so much more engery, I really have been blesses and enjoying this new journey. I wish everyone has the same success and happiness with thier journey as well.
