When I was getting my drain removed on Thursday, he had a HUGE shipment of multi vitamins come in and he gave us some. Try ordering again next week. Question, I was SO out of it after surgery that I can't remember anything about lifting and can't find anything in my papers. Most people say you can't lift more than 10 lbs for 2 weeks, is that right?? Hubby is traveling next week and just want to be prepared while he's gone on what I can and cannot lift -

Just had surgery on Monday, January 27, and I'm feeling so amazing!! Drain was removed today and got to hang out with Dr. Ortiz for a bit. I'm so thankful that I'm feeling so well, and I'm so grateful that he was my surgeon. I honestly don't think I could have had a similar experience anywhere else!! Hands down, will recommend him anytime! I'm on the losers bench!! -

I haven't gone down yet as my surgery isn't until January 27th (also with dr Ortiz) and from what I've been reading, pack light. This is what I'm planning to bring: 1 pair of pajama pants 2 pairs of loose pants (I'm bringing my lulu's) 4-5 tshirts Slippers Gas-x strips heating pad (it helped me ease the gas pain when I was banded so I'm hoping for same result) Toiletries Cell phone and charger iPad and charger Socks and undies Protein powder My Vitamins That's all I'm planning on bringing unless anyone has anything that they think I should be adding

I had no idea you can link the fitbit with myfitnesspal. I haven't been using MFP because of the fitbit (which I love BTW), but now I'll have to figure out how to link them so I can track it all Thanks for the info!

I'm scheduled for January 27th with Dr. Ariel Ortiz at OCC.. I'm also Canadian. Looks like we will just miss each other. Good luck! -
Are you going to the OCC as well??

Hello everyone, I'm a complete newbie here, so allow me to introduce myself. My name is Tanya. I live in Alberta, Canada and I will be having a band to sleeve revision on January 27th of this month with Dr. Ariel Ortiz at the OCC. I was banded in November of 2008 and I did very well at first. I lost nearly 90 lbs and kept it off for a year and half and then decided to have a tummy tuck. I had been a smoker for 22 years and my TT surgeon urged me to quit. I've been quit now since July 22, 2011 and since then (and my TT) I have gained almost all the weight back!! I feel like a complete failure ???? I got my band defilled today and booked my flights and pretty much got everything I will need so I'm excited. At the same time though, I'm terrified. I'm so afraid to fail again. It's really nice to read these forums and see that everyone is doing so well. It gives me hope. Is there anyone else out there going to be at the OCC the same time???
