I had my VSG done by Dr. Curry in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 20th. I've lost 40 pds with 41 more to go. But I need to join a support group. Does anyone know of a good group in Cincinnati?

This Wednesday I will meet my 6 month requirement for my insurance then all I have to do is wait for the approval to set my surgery date. I would greatly appreciate some info on a good Sleeve support group in Cincinnati, I know I cannot do this by myself.

Hello all, it's Lacunn711 from just outside Cincinnati. I don't know about you all but I'm so sick of the snow!!! Next Wednesday is my last visit to meet my 6 month requirement. I have about 85 pounds to lose, high blood pressure and osteoarthritis in my hands, wrist, back, knees, which the ortho wants to do a knee replacement on after already having two hip replacement. My spine specialist is who referred me to Dr. Curry. I do have concerns about gain the weight back, hair loss, and I have yet to hear about a good bariatric support group in Cincy. Between not being about to workout because of the pain and swelling, depression over my weight, feeling old an ugly, and the snow I wondering if I'll ever feel better bodily and emotionally. Sorry ladies I'm feeling a little sorry for myself. -
Rubydoobie, I was soooo excited to get your response to my many questions I totally read over your answer in regards to the question about the Life Center. Please ignore my last email. Again thank you for answering my many question! Lacunn711

Hello RubyDoobie, I live in Bethel, Ohio, a small town about 40 miles from downtown Cincinnati. I'm so glad to hear your surgery went so well because Dr. Curry will be doing mine. I have my 6th visit Feb. 19th then they'll submit everything to insurance for approval, then we can set my surgery date. I'm hoping I'll be sleeved the end of March. Boy, do I have a ton of question to ask you! How long after your approval was your surgery date set? Did you have your surgery done at the Life Center or in a Hospital? How long were you there after surgery? How was the experience? What protein drink did you like best? How much weight did you have to loose and have you lost? How soon were you back to work? Did you have a drain? I'm so sorry for the tons of questions but your the first person I've had contact with who is a Dr. Curry patient.

Lynn2win, I called my insurance and the requirements were 6 months supervised visits, BMI 35 or higher, comorbidity. I also had then email me a copy of the requirement for my policy. So as long as you meet your insurance requirements there shouldn't be a problem, at least that's my understanding.

Hello all, I have one more month to meet my insurance requirements before approval. Once my approval has been received I'll be setting my surgery date. I'm hoping for the end of March. I live on the east side of Cincinnati and looking for a support group of fellow sleever's in the greater Cincinnati area. If anyone has any information on a support group I would appreciate the info.
