    liquid diet

That's the same day my liquid diet starts. But the only difference is my doctors wants me to drink all 4 of my protein shakes per day. Two with milk and two with water or crystal light.
  2. Today I went to my final appointment with my nutritionist and I past all the requirements. After three months of appointments, I'm finally approved for surgery. We scheduled my before surgery nutrition class for two weeks from now. And she stated that expect my surgery within two weeks from that. It feels like my journey has taken forever, even though it has been three short months. But by the way my insurance didn't require three months, but the center I'm choosing to go to requires all there people to be fully ready and not a moment sooner. At this appointment I was given my list of Vitamins and two companies I have to choose from. Celebrate and Bariatric Advantage I have to get one month supply from. I'm getting super excited!

Anyone having the sleeve in april?!

I'm in Springfield, IL with expecting my surgery in the middle of April. I'm just waiting for the center to give me my date of my new life.
  5. Anyone before surgery purge their closet? I was cleaning out my closet and notice how much clothes I won't be able to wear anymore. I know not right away I won't be out of them, but man ever since I've started this process I'm down 10lbs. I already feel my clothes getting loose. I did get rid of anything yet, just separated my stuff by size. When did you decide to start letting things go?

    Pre op Process

Im confused about my out of pocket, my insurance states they cover 80% of surgery but the center says different. I do have to pay $300 for surgeon fee. And I thought my last appt was the 17 but its Feb 14th. So Ill be asking more questions when I speak with the finance dept.
  7. Anyone else going through this kind of process too. So to get approved for the surgery i have to go through roughly ten appointments or classes. I have to go through two meetings with the social worker, two with the nutritionist, plus two nutrition classes, not including the one before surgery. I also must attend at PT class, a support group, mandatory to meet with my gyno for birth control. The center Im going birth control is not an option they give you two options of which one to get on. I also forgot about labs and appointment with my regular doctor. I started the process december 2nd and will complete my final appointment Jan 17, if they don't decide to add more. The center is really good about doubling appointments to speed things up. They expect to take 4 to 6 months for surgery.
