  1. I had my band to sleeve revision on December 26th . My doctor didn't mention it but after reading all of the posts, I'm assuming I too have a pouch above my sleeve . I had 640 calories of Opti plus broth for the first 10 days but increased it to 800 calories a day to get my Protein level up to 70 grams over the last few days. My scale shows I'm 5 pounds above the weight I was the morning before the revision and no weight loss since. Am I to assume that is because of the swelling due to my band removal and sleeve being done at the same time , the weight loss will show once the swelling goes down. I have most certainly lost inches ,not stressing but just looking for a reality check from others.
  2. I know each surgeon is different but mine said opti and clear broth for 4 weeks before introducing the next stage. I'm 10 days out from my revision and feeling better each days with only some soreness at the incisions . I'm drinking chicken broth, 4 Optifast shakes and clear vegetable Soup but need the energy of pureed food to get through my day and 4 optifast is only 640 calories . Is anyone else being told 4 weeks and what do I do ?
  3. I had my revision 8 days ago . My stomach is still swollen so I haven't lost any weight on the scale. My doc said only clear liquid, broth and Optifast for a full 4 weeks and then introduce the soft food stage. I figure between 4 optifast 4x160=720 calories and 32 oz chicken broth and 64 oz of diet ice tea a day I should really see results . I'm only getting "head" hungry only and discomfort at my incision areas but that is getting netter each day .
  4. My surgery this morning went well , lots of pain and walking every two hours Looking forward to my swallow test tomorrow, did I just say that? Lol

  6. Ten minutes till they wheel me into surgery. Then two hours in surgery, two hours recovery and hopefully a private room.
  7. Hearing success stories of lap band to sleeve revisions are making feel great . My surgery is scheduled for 12 hours from now and I will sleep better, thank you both.
  8. I had lap band surgery performed 5 years ago which prolapsed. I'm having a revision to a sleeve . Does anyone have any experience with this , success/complications ?

    Surgery in 15 Hours

Mine is a revision, I had a lap band for the last 5 years and it prolapsed . All of my saline was removed three months ago and my stomach has had a chance to heal . The lap band needs to be removed and don't want to go through this again so I decided to go with the sleeve.Everything looks good on all of the tests and no damage from the prolapse was found .
  11. My surgery is in 15 hours and I most certainly have a case of the jitters . Packed and ready , haven't told a soul beside my wife. I'm optimistic and know each and every journey is a bit different but just wish the jitters went away.
