Melting hard cooked egg yolk is as easy as melting hard cooked egg yolk.. It dilutes in Water. But, you are right, I didn't know it. The white carries the Protein.

Today was the third day post op and I drove around town, I have a driver, like nothing ever happened to me. Sipping Water and grabbing a few ounces Soup here and there. I hope it will not all come crashing down, because there is no way I'm consuming clear liquid Protein. I just can't.. I will catch up in a day or two when I can go full liquid. I'm blessed with a good camel reserve.. I hope it will pull another few days.. 5'11 male, started 295 down to 275

I was sliced and diced on the 25th.. So I'm pure liquid stage. The entire procedure was easy breezy.. The worst part of the entire process by leaps and bounds was the darn liquid I had to swallow for the x-ray. liquids are boring, but come on all, we were not forced into this. It's a choice we made. How can you 'regret' it because of a few lousy days. It's all about the REST OF OUR LIVES.

For the gas, I found that taking deep breaths by mouth totally relieved the pain until the next hit, for which I repeated the deep breath for more relief. That's how I handled it for the first day while burping it away. By end of the first day I was for the most part in good shape. -
I'm wondering if while I'm on liquid I can melt the yellow of the egg in water(with salt) . It should be some delicious Protein for a change. Will I be violating the rules in the book? I'm committed to keep the rules!

I would really encourage you to keep the surgery of you and your husband more then a week apart. You wanna be there for him and vis versa.. Give yourself 4 weeks between each other. It's still a journey together but it lives some time for a good recovery before he goes through the Zombie stage..

I'm on my hospital bed. I did the surgery yesterday. It's all no biggie. The worst was swallowing that chemical for the x-ray test. So far so good.

How will the Sleeve affect my Singing?
joyland replied to joyland's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I really appreciate all of your responses. You all have now cleared another hurdle for me. The power of doing it as a group! And yes, will go back to take more lessons and learn more about the organ functions involved in controlling sound with breathing. Gman, I'm singing more Opera style. So I hope to be roaring like a lion into the sunset :-) -
How will the Sleeve affect my Singing?
joyland posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm pretty much fully committed to proceed with the Sleeve. I'm wondering how it will affect my Singing. Singing is very important to me. I took many lessons to help me improve my Singing. Before I began my lessons I couldn't even carry a tune. The main technique I was taught was to; sing with my stomach by inhaling. Inhaling and keeping down lots of air in your stomach is a big part of controlling your voice and singing. I wonder how cutting down half my stomach will affect that. Those that paid attention to this and have any experience please chime in.
