Sorry guys, this one is for the ladies! Did you all go down in cup size and if so, how much and with how many pounds lost? I don't want to lose my girls, but with almost 50lbs gone, they already seem smaller!

I've never had anything get stuck. If you're following doctor's s plan, it shouldn't happen. The book I received from my doctor's office has instructions on what to do if it happens. I can post here if you'd like.

Getting light headed, is it normal?
danielledalton replied to Ree's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am 7 weeks out and I get this too sometimes. Thanks for the explanations. -
Hi, first..what happened to the food & nutrition board? So, question is, I'm 5 weeks out and at my 30 day check up last week, my nutritionist said that my portion size for my morning Protein smoothie was too large. She's new and kind of an airhead, so thought I'd check here with the real experts! lol My smoothie contains frozen fruit, milk or juice and Protein powder and I told her I can drink about 4-6 ounces of it. What are your thoughts on the size of it? Is it too much for Breakfast for the stage that I'm at? Thanks! Danielle

Smoothie Portion Size

Thank you! -
What about a taco bell knock off? I made refried beans with some guacamole, sour cream, cheese and salsa. There are also a lot of crustless pizza recipes going around right now. Look on Pinterest or just Google it.

I never thought I'd say this, but..

So wrong about women dressing for the opposite sex. Actually kind of a conceited thought to think we are that worried about how men perceive us...ok, teenage girls do, but not grown women. We care more about what other women think about us, lol. Regardless people staring and looking you up and down are rude. -
How many of you take a preventative antacid everyday and what do you take? I really don't want to add one more pill everyday, but starting to think I might need to.

I had an hour long massage a little over a week after surgery. I did about the first 45 minutes on my back and the last on my stomach...no problems.

You Should Not Consider Bariatric Surgery if..
danielledalton replied to No game's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am only 2 weeks out and went in to this with eyes wide open...or as open as you can be. In other words I understood that it's just a tool and that you have to work it. I did counseling for a year as well so I figured I was about as ready as I could be. Still this is way harder than I thought it would be! The realization that I woke up with this morning is that the surgery doesn't take away the decision about what you put in your mouth on a daily basis. It doesn't take away choices that force you to only put healthy foods in your mouth and I think that has been the shocker for me. The pizza and things my family eats are still sitting in front of me and while there may be repercussions for eating it, the choice is still there, unfortunately lol. -
Fruit with protein shake
danielledalton replied to kcgeeck's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I have been doing it now and I am 13 days out. I did see in my notes "no berries" for 6 weeks, but I have had no problems with the fruit all blended up. -
December Surgeries!?!?!?
danielledalton replied to preopmano's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi I was 12/16 and am curious for those of you around that date what you're eating. I am having soups and just added in some eggs and cottage cheese. I probably pushed it a little today with 1/2 of a meatball and a piece of ham but those things went down easier than some cream soups I have had. Thoughts and how does this compare to what you all are eating and your doctor's suggested plan? Thanks! -
Freaked out by a stumble and I need to pull myself back up

Any time you embark on a lifestyle change or a new journey, you are going to have roadbumps. We are not perfect human beings. So, reflect on why you did it and how you will overcome it in the future and move on. Don't beat yourself up. Use positive self talk just as if you were encouraging your best friend! -
Dr. Geoffery Slayden Kansas City Any Feedback Appreciated
danielledalton replied to jalb's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
Hi. I also had my surgery done by Dr. Slayden. When was your surgery? Mine was 12/16. Curious how you are doing and what types of food you are eating now? Thanks! -
So, I had my surgery on 12/16. I'm starting to add in some soft foods. Part of my problem this past week has been with all the sugar free stuff. Sugar Free stuff makes me so queasy and leaves the worst after taste. So, I picked up some regular jello and regular pudding and since I can only eat several bites, is it really the end of the world? I was planning on seeing what my nutritionist says when I go in, but thought you all would tell me your thoughts too! Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas!

I'm 8 days out and I'm hungry too! My guess is also that we are not getting enough protein. That's what I am going to focus on!

Hurt feelings and now I want to stuff it down with bad food...HELP
danielledalton replied to laners777's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My heart goes out to you. This journey is way harder than I thought it would be! You've already came a long way just by recognizing it! Repeat your positive things ( work out, journal, talk to a friend. ) Also, it won't be the end of the world if you do give yourself something food wise to feel better. The problem is when you overdo it. There is no shame in food! Love yourself right now. Don't beat yourself or punish yourself. Positive self talk will help too! You are strong and good and you can do this!
