I was supposed to start mushies tomorrow. My daughter,son inlaw and two precious twin granddaughters were here for the week end. I decided to start mushies one day early. I had scrambled eggs for breakfast. Everything went down and stayed down. For lunch, we had chicken enchilida casserole. I put some in blender and ate a little. Everything went down and stayed down. I am now boiling eggs for egg salad. Life is looking up!!!!:clap2: I have the satisfied feeling finally. Certainly not too full. I did not want to get too full. For one thing, every adult at the table was watching me, thinking I was on the brink of failure!!!! Ha, I showed them.

Tulip---I had a dream while I was on liquids that I ate a sandwich. You need to have a talk with hubby. My husband is very, very supportive. While I was on liquids, so was he. Not once did he eat in front of me, and also, we have not cooked anything since all of this started. Tell hubby that if he wants to help you, he should be supportive and understanding. Hang in there. You can do this.

Loupoohmu--Where is the resale shop for plus size in Dallas. I live in the DFW area and might be interested.

musical---Don't be so hard on yourself. I think you are doing terrific. And I am sure you look great too. Some people do not have the sense God gave a goose!!! Try to ignore the remarks; I know I would been hurt too. But think on the positive side and see all the improvements you have made in your life. I just hope and pray that when I am 3 months out, I will be 50 less than I was. Keep up the good work.

Candle--Well, I did it and 1 day early. I had scrambled eggs for breakfast. Was so good and no trouble going down. For lunch we had chicken enchilida casserole. I put some in blender and it was great. I finally have a satisfied feeling. It is wonderful. Anyway, my daughter, my son in law and my two twin granddaughters just left for houston. My house is too quite now. Talk later.

2beefree---I guess you and I are in the same boat. I was to go on mushies on Monday, the 17th of September. I too have been so hungry the past 2 days. So, I walk into the kitchen and hubby is eating tuna. That was my down fall. I took a bite and so now I am on my mushies, 2 days early. I had a can of deviled ham and I ate about 1/3 of it and I was satisfied.

Shelli---I too am fighting the food demons. But, I struggle through it. I am still on liquids:cry and I know you got to go on mushies. Did that help the hunger pains??? I go on mushies on Monday. However, I am toying with the idea of having scrambled eggs on Sunday. My daughter and her family will be here for the week end and I truly want to join them for breakfast and eat like a person is supposed to. What do you think about going to mushies one day early????:heh: Surely could not hurt. :cry

Hello Don, I was just waiting on Blue Cross to ok me for the lap band. I am disabled and was due to go on Medicare on September 1. Thank God above Blue Cross came through for me and agreed to pay. They approved it on August 23rd. My surgery was on August 27th. I hope yours works out for you. We pay for our insurance and their rates are through the roof and yet they sometimes to pay for us to get healthy. Keep us posted on what they decide. Good luck.

Sherri--Have you talked to your doctor about your concerns? You should not beat yourself up so much. You took the right step in getting the band. I know how hard it to stay away from food. It is a daily struggle for me. You just have to take it one day at a time. Starting tomorrow, wipe the slate clean. Start over. A good starting point is talking to your doctor. Let us know how you are doing.

Blues---I know what you mean. I always make sure that I am the person behind the camera. We had our 25th anniversary party in July. I had no choice but to have my picture taken with my husband. Good Lord. I look like an egg!!! A big one. When the picture was made, my band date was already set. The day before I got my band, I had hubby take my before picture. That is the one posted by my name. Good luck on your surgery. Keep us posted.

I am due to go on mushies on Sept. 16. My surgery was Aug 27 and I have been on liquids since August 13. We are having week end guest and I would love to join everyone for Breakfast. Do you think I could go on mushies 1 day early and enjoy scrambled eggs???? I have managed to loose about 2-3 pounds every other day. I have been stuck on the same number for the past 2 days. I have also been so very hungry for the past 2 days. I could chew my leg off!!! However, I have not cheated; not once. so, what's the verdict???? Mushies one day early.:hungry:

Chillipepper, I promise it will get better. I have had my band since 27th of August. I have been on liquids since the 13th of August. I get my mushies on Sunday. Believe me I cannot wait for the scrambled eggs!!! But hang in there. It will get better. You have to take it one day at a time.

I got my band on August 27th. I have been diong so good; never any hunger pains, until today. My God, I could chew my leg off if I could bend down to it. I have not cheated, not even one time. I have lost right at 23 pounds. I asked my dr. when I would need a fill. He said that when I get hungry!!!! WELL, I AM HUNGRY NOW. I am still on liquids. I will go to mushies on Monday, the 17th. I will go on solids one week later. Should I just ride this out. Pray for hubbie. I feel a real bitch attack on the horizon.:hungry::hungry::help::faint:

Thanks so replying so quickly. I am eating some Campbell's soup now; pepper jack. Pretty good. I will hang in there until I go on mushies.

Shelli---I am retired and have no intentions of going back to work. I worked for the same company for 31 years, so I have paid my dues. Glad you are feeling better. Let us know what they say at the support meetng

Shelli---Yes we got our new car today. We got a 2007 Camry; Silver. It is very pretty. I am proud of it. Yes, I am looking forward to the scrambled eggs. Ranchgirl, I got my band on August 27. How are you doing with yours. I noticed that you and I are the same age. There is a thread for those 60 years and also 50 years. We have different issues at that age group. Anyway, I will be glad to talk. Just leave message.

Nothing much to post today. I was very neausea (I must learn correct spelling) all day Saturday, then ok Sunday until about 9 p.m. Monday was hell. Never did throw up. Just that awful sick feeling. Anyway, today, Tuesday everthing is fine. Even went out to a real restaurant with hubby. We went to Chineeese. I just had the sizzling rice soup and tried my best to avoid the rice. Anyway, it was a real treat. Good news is that we got a new car today. We got a 2007 Camry. It is silver with leather interior. I am so proud. I hated to give up the other car. It served me well, but when it gave out Sunday, that was all she wrote. :dog:

Ok, today I do not have anything to bitch about, rant or anything else. But I did get a new car today!!!! I got a Camry. First time we have ever not bought an American made car. But my daughter has one and my friend. I am so proud of it. So, I need to go on a trip. But since I am still on liquid diet, I will wait. It would be too complicated!!! Anyway, that is all I have to say today. Tomorrow---who knows!!!

Shelli---Well, how was the tuna?????????????? I am so jealous!!! Eleven more days for me, then mushies for 1 week and then SOLID FOODS!!!! Never thought scramble eggs would sound so good.

I have been battling this upset tummy all night. I was awake until 2 a.m. And now again. I have not thrown up, but just a neausa tummy. I am exactly 2 weeks out from surgery today. I am still on liquids. Is this normal.:sick:help:
