I am 18 months out from VSG. I would love to meet up with some people for support and possibly exercise. What party I'd town do you all live in?

I have between stuck for three weeks. I'm closing in to the 160land, but just a few pounds away. I've increased my workouts, but I know I haven't been as good as I could on my diet. I've started getting hungrier lately probably because of the exercising. Any suggestions on how to combat this?

As difficult as it sounds, just relax. Yes complications are possible, but not probable. I am one of those people that usually gets them, but I did great. I am almost three months post op and doing well. Do your best to follow the doctor's directions. It certainly is life changing and you will have a lot of changes, but so worth it. I am now of my blood pressure meds and my sugar and cholesterol numbers are normal except for ldl. I'm so excited.

Also if ur having soup, it counts as fluids. I found regular water was harder to drink. I have reverse osmosis at my house and drank 100 oz. a day before surgery. It helped even just to squeeze a little fresh lemon into it.

According to my home scale I have lost 20 lbs since the day of surgery, but my highest weight was 210ish. If I go by 210, I'm down 36 pounds

What is Sha'bam? I'm past my two months and haven't lost near that much, but I just started the gym this week. I keep reminding myself that I need to be proud of what I am accomplishing and not compare myself. I'm closing in on getting into the 160s and excited about that. Hoping the gym well speed up the weight loss.

I don't know how to upload a picture from my camera to hear. The company is IPS,based in CA. I get them at my local health food store in las Vegas. I can post more info when I get home and have the bag in front of me. They do have corn flour in the recipe as well. One ounce is the whole bag. They have a bbq, white cheddar, cinnamon and one more flavor I don't remember. The cinnamon did have brown sugar so I skipped that one. Well be trying the cheese one next week.

Had anyone else tried the egg white chips? I thought they would be nasty but the bbq ones were good and it gave me something that has real crunch. 7g. of protein in one ounce.

I have been wondering about all the calorie counting I see. My doctor's office does not give a calorie count. They are more worried about 90 grams of protein and 90 oz of fluid. Last week I only do 1.5 pounds. I'm not exercising yet other than some walking, but not much. We are starting to look at gym memberships and hopefully we'll be starting in the next few weeks. So should I be more concerned about my calorie count?

I'm not eating carbs specifically and not even a lit of veggies except when I make something like meatloaf. I was wondering if maybe I'm not getting enough carbs. My energy that I got in the first weeks is gone. I get blood work next week. I'll be anxious to see what my iron and b12 levels will be.

I need some breakfast ideas, especially something that has something to chew. My go to its plain Greek yogurt with orange crush powdered drink mix added for some tasty and sweet flavor.

So far I have mixed luck with eggs. I can handle scrambled with little pieces of veggies. A friend who also had sleeve surgery found some granola bites by About Time. I was worried about adding fruit to my diet because of the sugar/carbohydrates. I feel like I need some more chewing and fiber so I'mm not so hungry and maybe the bathroom won't make me so nervous..lol -

I am also struggling with the fluid intake and measuring protein now that I am on real foods. Would love suggestions...hard for me too calculate protein when I am coming as opposed to just using shakes. -
December 2013 Sleevers Come In!

I used to love my gummy vitamins. Can we have expansive fiber like psyllium? I could add it to my pine protein shake I have been doing a day. I'm still losing weight but not as much as I would like and I have had problems with constipation. I've recently added some toasted soybeans to my diet with my lunch and it seems to be helping. Wish I didn't have to pay separately to see the nutritionist. -
Were you sleeved during the first two weeks of December?

I have found chicken to be tough as well. I have found that if I shred the chicken and cook it with diced tomatoes in a slow cooker or if we pound it thin and cook it with tomatoes, I can eat it. It definitely takes more time than eating yogurt.
