Hello- It will lots better you will be sore and nervouse I was the same way. Just keep drinking as much liquids as you can, I believe your are probably swollen and may have some Fluid retention but trust me it will come out. Try the Soup at Hand broths, and posicles they will help. I still have some issues but each day gets lots better. Let me know how you are doing !!!! God Bless You T.

Becky- You will be in my prayers, it will be over with before you know it. I was banded on 4/13/05 and went home the same day. You will be a little sore and maybe a little gassy but just move around as much as possible and it will help. I also found sleeping in our recliner for the first couple of days to be alittle more comfortable. Good Luck and let us know how you are doing, this site is awsome, it will help you get through the liquid stages and beyond. Take Care!!!! Teresa

HI- I know I feel like telling everyone about the band, and some of my relatives I do. I am getting by w/mine I am in the second week, I actually made dinner today for my husband and son (17 yrs.) he went out to eat with friends mexican food I think, he is very active and thin, so I pray with all my heart that he stays that way. My husband is overweight and I believe that since I have done this he is actually eating less, maybe it is because I am not cooking as much (ha,ha). But, he is working and I feel bad if I send him to work with just TV dineers and sandwiches, so I cooked today. And I am so proud of myself I did not even taste test any of it. YEA FOR ME!!! Still trying to get this second week under my belt, I am so hungry or just need something other than broths and cream of Soups. I bought a chef boy r dee MINI Mac & cheese the other day, do you think it would be okay to have some of it? I am really not eating very much of anything, drink Boost, coffee, Tea, Water and maybe some Soup very little though. Whatcha Think? Thanks and Have a Blessed Weekend T.

Hi Guitarman and fellow Texans I am in my 2nd week post-op, boy is it hard I am trying to stick to the liquids, doing okay but I am still hungry are something. Guitarman it will get better I was like you the first few days, very nauseated and extremely Gassy, they say that they have to put some much air in your stomach when they are doing the surgery. My stomach is still makeing all kinds of girgling noises. This website is so wonderful and helpful especially when you are feeling blue, like I am today. I had my surgery on 4/13/05 in Houston, I had my first post-op appt on Wed. and they said I had lost 10-13lbs. WOW that was exciting. Talk to ya soon, take care & god bless ya Teresa

Hello Pink- I am in my 2nd week also and have been getting alot of help from LBT. I too wondered oh what have I done, I am so hungry and I want pizza, mac & cheese, something, anything besides soup, posicles, jello etc... I am having such a hard time as far as what to eat in the mornings I drink coffee, then a BOOST drink, and for lunch some kinda soup and at dinner it is a nightmare, I am such a picky eater and some of the creamier soups taste terrible, and I can't imagine blending some foods. I try to drink the water but I find I drink a lot more iced tea, not sure if the caffeine is hurting me, but I seem to keep it down. I too ahve been feeling pretty depressed and my stomach is constantly growling, not sure if I am not eating enough or what? I am supposed to go on mushies next Wednesday 4/27/05. Not even sure then what to have does anyone have any suggestions for now and next week. ILUVHARLEYS on this website has been a angel she is trying to help me, and I thank her so much. But, for some reason today I am so hungry had some brocolli&cheese soup for lunch and a popsicle today. And I just want some bread, crackers anything. My husband says don't complain you wanted this, and he is absolutely right I want to have energy, and feel better about myself I just keep praying the LORD will guide me. HELP ANYONE Thanks so much for your time Teresa -

Hello Everyone- I just found this site yesterday, and it so fun and informative. Still trying to learn how to navigate it. I went for my follow up Dr. Visit today lost 10-lbs. That was shocking, but I am still on the liquid stage or should I say THE HARDEST PART STAGE (for me). They said I can start having creamier substances (soup) just looking for something different. Any, suggestions?? I am still pretty sore around my port, and still pretty gassy not sure how to relief that besides walking around and Gas-X it can really be painful. Need all the help and suggestions that you can give me. Thanks So Much for your time God Bless You All Teresa
