Hello new and from the UK

hi, this is a great group with a lot of UK sleevers unlike a lot of groups which are more USA based, I have read loads and had a lot of my questions I did have answered by either asking or reading other posts which is great. I get my operation on the 3rd March, start my pre op diet on the 17th feb. I cant wait to begin my new life.

hi and thanks for asking. I can't drink even plain milk, I know I am strange lol. She has given me really low carb diet sheets to follow for 2 weeks prior to the operation, so I start those on the 17th feb (I will copy some of that out later to let you see). Afterwards she has said she thinks there are drinks more juice based that I can have but she will find out for definite, I think I stumped her by not liking milks and shakes as most are told to take them.

    UK Sleevers

hi everyone. I have my pre-admin check on the 6th feb with my operation date being the 3rd March down in Fife. I am excited but nervous as well. My main issue is a lot of the diet advice I have had so far involves shakes, I cant tolerate anything remotely along the lines of milk or flavoured milks, it just makes me vomit, (been like that since a kid, dont even like icecreams) so does anyone have any suggestions what I can take in place of those? My dietician appointment isnt until the 6th february as well so I really would like to get a jump start on getting things organised.

    The New Normal

wow, the difference is amazing and shows what can be achieved, as someone just starting out you really do fill me with hope that the decision to have the operation is the way too go, I know its going to take work but seeing your before and after pictures I cant wait to get started.

I lived to tell about it.

Glad to hear your surgery went well, hope the recovery goes as well, I am only just starting out on my journey so I am trying to read as much as possible between now and february/march when they reckon I will get my op.
