Hello everyone, it is March and I am finally ONE year out !! Yay !! I have lost a great amount of weight and I am so so grateful for my new body. I am very happy with my results. I do want plastic surgery though. I want to be able to wear a bikini in public and not have excess fat sagging there .. My family is not very supportive of going through with plastic surgery because " I don't really need it " and " god made you the way you are " I just hope maybe someone knows how I feel and can drop a comment / suggestion. I am unsure what doctor I will be using. Pic below of my before / after

Thank you everyone !! I have told everyone that it is my decision and whether they support me or not I'm doing this for me. They don't know what's it's like covering up all the time and having to sit a certain way so the fat doesn't bulge through shirts etc. I am actively looking for a surgeon now and will probably travel to Florida to get it done. I have heard great reviews from Dr Fisher and I am hoping to go with him but will keep my eyes open for anyone else that's great. Thanks again everyone for your wonderful comments it makes me feel so good !!

How long does it take for insurance to approve ?? I have Neighborhood HealthPlan by Masshealth. And also, last weigh in I was 215 Today I am 218 I have to go back for a weigh in tomorrow What do u think they'll decide ? Did anyone go into surgery without meeting the surgeons weight goaled ?

I love sushi ! I would really like to have a few pieces but don't know if I should really do rice ? I am now 6.5 months out. Hope u guys can help ? If u do eat sushi about how many until your full/comfortable ?

Sorry for the late response I have been 144.4 since Monday. Only a pound more to go to this goal weight ! I am a happy girl.

I can't believe I have reached 148 !! I am so happy. I have not been this weight since I was in highschool. I have my old skinny clothes and I am now starting to pull it out of the cubby it's in. Surgery Weight 220 size 18/20 Current Weight 148 size 9/10 The picture I uploaded is myself wearing same top. Left picture is 3 weeks post op surgery. Right picture is 4.5 months post op surgery. I will be 5 months out on the 17th of August !! So happy with my new life!

Hello everyone I am pre-op right now and I am hoping with this thread I can see a visual with other people's weight loss. I am currently 215 lbs and need to get down to 210 lbs for surgery. Thanks a lot everyone !!!! Just put in a picture of me pre-op can't wait to see post - op !! Yay.

Saw that some people on here have a card when they go out to eat it states they have weight loss surgery so the restaurant can acknowledge and give u small portions cheaper priced. Just wondering if anyone knows any info on this. Thanks a lot.

We have the same stats I had surgery 03/2014 at mount auburn hospital at 220 lbs I am currently 157.0 pounds today .. Just about 4 months out the 17th ! I am stalling and losing it slow but I am loving life. I can't wait to look like u. U look amazing !

I went into surgery at 220 pounds and I am currently 160.8 ! My 'dream wt ' is 120. It is getting more difficult to lose weight. Dr. Says I'm on the right track. So happy with my results. I bought a bikini .. Not 100% comfortable yet but I hope I will soon be able to strut my stuff. Yay ????

Wondering what and if anybody has done anything for there incisions and if it works ? I am currently using bio oil. No results yet. Only 2 out of 5 that are apparent. I do not like looking at them. Hope someone can help me. Thanks in advance !!!

Yeah my husband is totally opposite eater than I am and I can't tolerate left over meals It sucks buying something for 12 $ and only eating like 4$ of it.

I didn't get one .. I live in Massachusetts .. Have u used it ? Do most places take it into consideration ?
