My NUT got into my head!
gottalose100 replied to katt1584's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Kat I'm so proud of you!! I'll have to go back and read up on your experience since I'm still making my decision. Sleeve isn't covered, so I'd have to go lapband. Don't let that nut get to you. Be proud and keep doing what your doing! -

Name some of the most difficult things you experienced after vsg surgery
gottalose100 replied to isleeveinjesus's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hell yeah I'd be angry.I agree with you, there must be a hormonal imbalance. Cortisone, thyroid hormones, and even electrolyte imbalances can slow weight loss. I'm an endocrinologist's dream.... I take pills to regulate almost all of ny hormones.... And for that reason I am afraid I will be in your boat too Start a thread to vent, and find others who may have overcome it. And totally see an endo. -

Jdmama911 congratulations on identifying your emotional issues. I'm guessing that's the hardest part. I quit smoking 4 years ago and was a maniac. I would cry, just cry over stuff. It was like PMS x 100. I remember telling my husband that I felt like my best friend had died. It was tough. But I got through it. Now I can't even believe that I ever smoked. The lozenges were my life saver. I slowly weaned off of them. When you are ready, you can do it! -
LouiseC thats a great point... Even if it's weird and uncomfortable. Lol

Sorry Recycled and PDXMan, but many women just dress nice, to look nice in general... Unkowing that it is an attention grabber to creepers. Seriously, my husband told me a girl at work had come in during her off day in shorts abd he felt he needed to tell her not to do it again because it was distracting. Shorts?! I said. Good god, you can't have any skin out, or else! Sometimes I think I'm fat for the comfort of knowing I'm not getting any of that. For example, how would guys feel if we stared at your crotch to guess in your size? You wear pants that cut around it, so you must have asked for it?! Better wear an apron, or you're an attention seeker. Lol -
Sorry mobile is hard to type on...

I've always wanted a Mini Cooper. BUT, I can't be a fatty and drive a tiny car! Even though there is room, it's the whole concept of it all. I want to get out of a Mini, and not twine everyone is staring at the girl who managed to shove herself inside. Lolol I know it's silly! But that's so.etching I'll look forward to.

Curvy, I was searching for regrets and found this thread. I see that you have now done very well with your WLS! I wanted to congratulate you. -
I'm curious about social situations, like work events with copious amounts of food and drink. How do you skirt around that without everyone making a big scene about your lack of consumption?

How Much Did You Lose 3 Months Out?
gottalose100 replied to Bombs's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Do either if you have insulin resistance or pcos? Hormone issues can make things slower ( at least in regular dieting). Also could it be a function of the starting weight? I mean it makes since that a heavier person could lose more faster? Either way, from where I'm sitting 30 lbs in 3 months is fantastic! Well done to you both! -
I'm offended by the term "nannying" and the threatening statements that vets will be ran off. It seems we should all be able to communicate politely. It doesn't hurt to reread your post, to check to see if it could be misinterpreted. If someone calls you out on something, and you didn't intend for it to be read that way, then just clarify and we can all move on. Obviously, we all mean well.
