I Am Constantly Getting Stuck!!!! I'm Miserable!

.I have found that I eat very litle, and I think that is the way it should be. I eat a variety of things daily. Breakfast if a small amount of oatmeal, 1/4 apple diced and a little brown sugar. Or a scrambled egg and 1/2 piece of grain bread or Kashi go lean cereal. But we are talking 1`/4 to 1/2 cup. Not much. Don't rink a half an hour before you eat, or a half an hour after you eat. I have never had more than 2.5 cc's im my band. Six is a lot. My advice is f9or a while eat something that goes down well and is satisfying., and stick with it three times a day if you have to Something needs to heal. Good luck. Keep me posted.

I Am Constantly Getting Stuck!!!! I'm Miserable!

Hi: I an here with encouragement! I assume all is medically ok with your band. Sometimes it just takes forever for things to fall in line. What are you eating, and when? Are you drinking water until it almost runs out your ears? Do you smoke? For a while I lived on yoghert and scrambled eggs. but I made it. I had the surgery in 2005, lost down to 160, but have had immense problems with aspirational pneumonia, and most of my fill taken out. I am ready to start again, and hope I have learned my lessons to eat tiny bites, over a long period of time, and certainly not to eat without 5 hours of bedtime.,

    Effexor XR

Hi: I am 8 months out after lap band surgery and have been taking Effexor XR the whole time. My surgeon knows and has never said it was/would be a problem. Seems to work fine. Good luck. Rosie2toes

    Fill Centers USA

Rosie here with a question on fills using the Fill Centers USA. I was just abour ready to fill our a patient profile and I thought I would check with the forum to see if anyone has used them, and if their visit was satisfactory. We have been at our vacation home for 6 months (where my doctor is), and are going home to South Georgia for the winter. Ten minutes from our farm is a fill center and it surely would be convenient to use them than to travel 6 hours back up here to see my doctor. Will you please share your experiences with me. Thanks.

    First Fill

Heavensgiggles and leeleeo, I can identify! When I went for my first fill on the 26th of September, I had gained a pound -- and I thought I was sucessfully managing my cravings. My doctor insterted 1cc in my band, and I had hoped to feel a restriction. I don't, but i"ll be fit to be tied if I gain more weight before my next fill - at the end of this month. I started using a custard cup as a plate, using a fork and picking each small morsel one at a time, counting each 'chew', and counting to 30 before I take another bite. a lot of calculated effort, but it seems to be working. It takes so long to eat, that I find myself satisfied with less. All the gals that work in my doctor's office have had either gastric bypass or lap banding, and the one thing they tell me often that this is 'just a tool' and that we still have to work hard to lose weight. Know that I'll be cheering for all of us. Rosie

    First Fill

Hi Rosie here, finally. My troublesome computer is back, fully relaoded and working fine, so now I can keep in touch. My first fill is Wednesday, and thank heaven for this forum . My doctor's office did not say a thing about not eating before, so I will call just to check what I should do. I am so ready. I have not gotten weighed cause I am afraid to, but during the first three to four weeks, I had lost over 20 pounds, was not hungry, could eat 3 orf 4 spoonfulls and feel full. Week 5 that disappeared and I am hungry and am capable of eating a lot, a very lot. I am scared I have gained. I will let you know how I do Wednesday. Rosie

    Aug/Sept Exercise Challenge

Hi, Rosie here. Thanks for the challenge! We have two dogs and a cat, and I take them for a walk twice a day, 1/2 hour each. They do not give me a chance to say no. Tomorrow I will drive into town and see if a membership to the local gym is available for a month to month basis. My first appt since surgery is this Wednesday, and I hope to be given permission to exercise. Everyone keep up the good work.
