UpDate...I had my surgery the 18th of Dec, all went well, the first few days was somewhat rocky because me and the lovely gas they use to blow up your stomache didn't do will with my system, But all is well now, it is sure did give me peace knowing the Lord was right there beside me. Tomorrow will be week 2, I've lost 19 pds post op, I can't tell you how much better I feel already. I want to wish everyone a Blessed New Year! I prayer for this list constantly and I'm thankful for it. Good Blessing your way for all who are having there surgery. Peace be to you all in the new year!

Hello, Thanks Phllser, for the info it helped me as well. I was banded 4 days ago. My doctor has me on three wks of full liquids and then comes the soft foods. My problem has been more then soreness is getting rid of the gas..Unforunately for me I'm senitive to the gas and my body just wants to hang on to it. Walk Walk Walk. I love this thread it is so nice knowing theres a place to seek out christians who have had lap band and were all a part of God's family . Hi Free Bird, It will all be fine and you'll be on your way to your new Beginnings, Its pretty normal to have second thoughts on any surgery, the unknown is scary sometimes. I keep telling myself the same thing. Good luck to you and everyone who's getting there lap band soon!

Hi I am going for my lap band surgery 12/18 Tuesday, I am excited and nervous all at the same time. I've read about the pluses and the problems. , I too have had good feed back and negative. I've asked the Lord to guide me and he has bought me this far I will continue with him for only he can see my future. It has been great having this forum. I don't feel so alone. Thanks
