  1. I'm intrigued by this topic. I'm interested in ANY bariatric surgery my insurance will cover - still figuring out which. But I have about 150 to lose. From what I've read, DS is good for those who are very overweight like me. I currently have a form of dumping syndrome - IBS and had my gallbladder out several years ago - so I'm no stranger to panicking trips to the bathroom. And I still eat poorly when I'm stressed knowing that I'll be sick later. Any hints or thoughts would be helpful!
  2. I'm very early on in the process but DS is on my list near the top. My current BMI is 50.9. So I'm pretty sure it would be a great option for me. My mom just had a sleeve done 18 months ago, but she was no where near as heavy as I am. My main concern with any sort of bypass is the malnutrition aspect. I'd like to eventually have more children and don't want any risks for malnutrition to add complications to a pregnancy. Any thoughts?

    Make me a girl!

I think it's fixed. Thanks everyone! No gender reassignment needed!

    Welcome

I just joined this site and I'm hoping there's lots of activity here. I tried a different site and it seemes pretty quiet. Anyway! I'm starting off around 325 and 5'7. I have tried in the past a few times to qualify for insurance to cover my WLS, but no deal. So, now that I'm on Medicaid (Utah), I finally have a chance. I don't know which procedures they cover. I'm worried about gaining some back if I'm not careful, and also about sagging skin.Anyway. Hope to chat soon.

    Got it! Thanks!!
  7. I got to clicking through too quickly and clicked that I'm male instead of clicking female. HELP! I looked in the profile areas and can't seem to be able to change it myself. TIA!
