    March 2015 Sleevers

I was sleeved on March 5. My first night was rather painful due to the gas in my stomach. Once I figured out how to burp...things got easier. I came home on day 2 and really don't have an appetite. I plan on being off work for another 2 weeks to get my body used to the change of eating. I am already tired of the clear liquids but my body seems to be tolerating things better than I expected. I think that the pain that I have now is more soreness but its not extremely painful but I know that I could not return back to work still sore because I work with aggressive children. I look forward to eating real food.
  2. March 5 is so close that o can hardly believe it! I will be at work tomorrow still on m liquid doet praying for some energy and self control around my munching coworkers
  3. My vsg surgery is in 4 days! I am so excited
  4. I am scheduled for Vsg on March 5. This is my second time going for the same surgery because 6 months ago I went into surgery to have the vertical sleeve gastrectomy and woke up to be diagnosed with a tumor on my liver. I then had to undergo a surgery by a liver specialist as well as several other complications to follow. So I am a little nervous about the surgery ....more eager than nervous about it finally happening. I believe that this is meant to be for me and I have faith that my God wouldn't have allowed me to be approved and released to have surgery again if it wasn't meant to be. I am struggling with my preop diet but will have to force myself to be good because I want to decrease any chances that I wake up on March 5 without being sleeved due to something that I could have controlled.
  5. I went for a colonoscopy and have confirmed crohn's- colorist and will be starting Humira in a few weeks and hopefully my joint pain will decrease. I hope I will have a similar positive change with my crohn's after my surgery, but if I just can get relief from joint pain I will be pleased Of course having the gastric sleeve will help with weight loss so less pressure on the joints as well.
  6. I was diagnosed with crohn's last year shortly after I was approved for VSG. I ended up having a bowel resection due to blockage and will be having my vsg surgery 6 months from that surgery. I am happy that I found this thread and hear that other people who have crohn's have been able to have the gastric sleeve and have positive results! I hope I also have positive results and will decrease my bathroom trips
  7. I am Missouri, STL metro and seeking help on this journey myself but I figure I would like any information that is shared on this post
