I love the Quest protein shakes! My nut checked them out and said they were ok. Compare ingredients to the shakes that are on your list. Good luck

I'm 14 months out and I've lost 130 lbs, had my gallbladder out the week of Thanksgiving. I've been constipated ever since. Anybody else have this problem?? My abdomen is so bloated that I had to go up a pant size. I'm not losing any weight I've hit my first stall. Help!!

How are you doing? I think going to the ER is a good idea. There is definitely something wrong to be causing the pain. Also try not to eat anything that will cause you any additional gas. Hang in there, there has to be a reason for the pain. Let me know how things go.

Oh I feel so bad for you!! Something is definitely wrong, you could have a blockage in your intestines. Have you seen a dr that treats bariatric patients If not you should. Please don't wait a whole month to see a Dr. If you have that much pain go to the ER.

I suffer from severe constipation too! I had RNY 12/9/2013. Had my gallbladder out 11/24/2014, since then I can't go. I also get really bloated too! I've been taking Mirolax everyday for the past week it took 3 days before I went I bought some probiotics to try, my Dr. Suggested I try them to help.

Hi!! I've missed the forum too!! I've lost 119 lbs since my surgery December 9, 2013 plus 16 lbs before surgery for a total of 135 lbs!! I had my gallbladder out November 24, 2014, that was a breeze!! I now have to start exercising again, with the holidays and recovery I just haven't gotten to it. I have 5lbs more to go to reach the goal my Dr. set. I would like to lose 10 more pounds. But I'm very happy with where I am now if I don't lose anymore. It's good to hear from you!!

Hi, I haven't posted in awhile. I'm losing hair now too!! It's thinning on the sides and it seems really dry too! Driving me crazy!! How long does this last ?

Thanks for your suggestions, I think I'll look into getting a binder.

I have a question for all of you. I'm having pain on my right side in between my incisions. It's a burning pain it feels like something is ripping off of my abdomen from the inside. It's really bad when I stand up, I have to hold myself. Any thoughts of what this could be??

Hi Greenize42, I had RNY on December 9th, I'm sure it will get better for you too! We just need to take it one day at a time!
-
I don't regret my decision either. I know this will be a slow process but I can do it!! I'm feeling great! I've lost 51 lbs so far!! One day at a time, one bite at a time! Now I just have to jump on the exercise bandwagon.

Debbie, did you purée the haddock? I had RNY on 12/19 and am on puréed until 1/19. No meats yet, not even fish (even if puréed). I'm on things like cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, cream of wheat, Protein shakes, ff refrained Beans... Pretty much Protein Shakes and dairy, mostly. I think if I had haddock right now, I'd barf too (and I love haddock)! No I didn't purée it. I should have! I'm on purée too, but they told me I could have meat. Every time I try meat it doesn't work out too well. I'm sticking with the soft stuff. Cottage cheese, yogurt, sf pudding, protein shakes. Things like that. Thanks for the advice.

That's reassuring. I have my protein shake for breakfast too. I ll try the mini meals that sounds like it would work. I guess I need to listen to my body. Thanks for the advice!!

I think I probably took too big of bites. I also had butternut squash with it. Thanks for the help. I'm gonna slow down and stick with the stuff I know I can handle.

I have a problem. Had my RNY December 9th on the 17th I could start purée It's been a slow process I can eat sf pudding, cottage cheese, yogurt, scrambled eggs. I just threw up after trying to eat haddock I think I ate too fast. I'm still in pain I can feel the food in my esophagus? Will this go away eventually, feeling the food I don't feel like throwing up anymore. Thanks for the help. Jan 7th I can go to stage 3 diet I don't think I can do that.

My Pyschiastrist changed my Effexor XR and Wellbutrin SR to the ones that aren't time released. I take Effexor 3x a day and Wellbutrin 2x a day. I'm doing good, I had my RNY on Dec 9th. I think I feel better on the regular meds. I got emotional the during the first week or so but I've leveled off and I'm doing well.

Thanks for the advice, I'm going to call my Dr. Tomorrow morning.

Hi I'm two weeks post-op. Having a hard time eating meat, and swallowing pills I get pain especially after I swallow a pill. It hurts a lot. Any suggestions? Is this normal?

I feel tired too! I haven't started exercising either. I'm 2 weeks every day I feel better. I think after Christmas I'll try riding my stationary bike.

Hi, everyone, I'm a December post-op too! I had my surgery on December 9th, I'm doing good so far, I'm off my bp medicine. I'm having trouble getting enough Protein in. I really don't feel like eating. I'm kind of afraid to eat. I've had cottage cheese and yogurt that was ok. I tried scrambled egg and that caused me pain.
