The atkins foods are amazingly filling

Im scheduled for surgery march 3rd 2014! I have 3000 out away and I'll have the rest of the 8700 when I do my taxes. Im going to Dr. Alvarez in Mexico!

Basically im doing atkins and ive lost 11 oounds since dec 18th with a couple cheat days and light exercise I have been talking to,my doctor she says diet exercise and recommends wls

FYI I'M ON HERE LOOKING FOR AN ANSWER OBVIOUSLY I CAN'T EAT LIKE I'M SLEEVED BECAUSE MY STOMACH IS BIG BUT I'M SAYING THAT I WAS THINKING OF DOING THE SLEEVED MEAL PLAN AS IF I HAD THE SURGERY OF COURSE I'D BE ABLE TO EAT MORE THAN IF I HAD A SLEEVE, I WOULD LIKE TO ADD THAT I'VE BEEN DEBATING WITH MYSELF FOR OVER A YEAR NOW ON GETTING SLEEVED FIRST THING IS I LOVE FOOD SECONDLY ITS A MAJOR SURGERY AND A LIFE STYLE CHANGE THEORY IS NO WAY I'D DO THE SLEEVE WITHOUT BEING MENTALLY PREPARED, MONEY IS AN ISSUE AND FINDING THE RIGHT DOC WITH THE RIGHT PRICE I'VE BEEN DOING MY RESEARCH ON DOCTORS IN MEXICO AND BELIEVE I HAVE FOUND MY DOC OF CHOICE.... Hey I want to have the sleeve done in Mexico but who is good and cheap I've heard some bad stories but not sure if it's all true.

What doctor did you guys go to in Mexico

Does anyone know how I can get this done ASAP I really want to lose weight and have the sleeve, what doctor in Mexico is good and cheap I've heard some bad stories but I can't afford anything up here. My tribal insurance won't add wls to their coverage and won't pay for the surgery I need help.

I'm still considering the surgery so this is the right place for me your rude comments show that you're just a negative person and I hope the best for you. I want to thank all of you again everyone's stories are inspirational, yes the money is the biggest problem right now I am trying to get my tribal insurance coverage on board to add wls to it and or just get the tribe to pay for mine if not I'll have to start saving. The whole idea I had was a test to see how much weight I could lose I'm basically on the Atkins diet and doing some exercise and I'm down 10 pounds I actually have to lose 15 more before I have the surgery I don't think the weight will drop as fast as it did the first week I quit drinking soda pop all I drink now is water crystal light and a little milk and of course my shakes I'm eating healthy choices no breads noodles or rice yes it's a little hard but if I want to make a lifestyle change it has to start with me before I'll have the surgery or I will end up eating unhealthy food post surgery.. My cousins had this done in June and they lost a lot of weight but they still make very very unhealthy choices they drink soda and eat lots of sugary foods and breads witch I think they should stay away from now one is not losing much weight and I believe that is because she's eating everything she should not and it's an everyday thing. Anyway I appreciate all of your nice comments and hopefully by the end of this year or before I'll have the surgery paid for and or already have it done

4 days on my diet and I've lost 7 pounds and it took me a year and a half to get to this point I am mind over matter and it feels so good

Not to discourage you, while in the phone with a consultant or whoever arranges everything they told me that Dr. Lopez leaves a tube in your stomach and you go back to the motel and the next day his assistant cones to the motel to remove it, also my cousin has done a lot of research she also did hers in Mexico but paid twice as much with the top Doctor. Dr. Lopez fits in as many surgeries in one day as he can and when you're done he's done and that's scary he also don't have the qualities of the two doctors in the same practice as him. If you can change your doctor please do and go with Cabrrera however it's spelled.

@planetheather you just gave me an amazing idea.... I can diet until I get down to my goal and if I'm struggling I can always have the sleeve done, hopefully by then my tribal insurance coverage will change their policies and or I can afford it up here or the last option would be Mexico, anyway thanks for the idea

Thanks, I've been debating the sleeve for over a year since I met my inspiration two friends a husband and a wife. Well long story short I can't afford the surgery unless I go to Mexico so it will be a last case sinario. If we put our minds into something we can do just about anything that's what I've always been told I would never go into this surgery without being mentally prepared for the life style change it's all mind over matter if i went through the surgery would that change what I eat, the answer is no because you can still eat a lot of bad choice foods and crave them and eat them so I'm doing the diet that you all did with the surgery before and after and forever its a life style change im acting as If I'm having the surgery therfore calling it the Gastric sleeve diet and I need the support of anyone and everyone I am tired of being over weight I only want to lose 110lbs of I lose more than that that's great but it's a goal of mine to go back to my normal size before having my 3 kids I was a size 15 and weight was 215 I saw 19 I am now almost 27 and I'm 310 I was up to 318 at the most I am discussed with my body and disappointed but I figured out that if I follow this diet plan I can lose just as much as anyone else but I'll be happy if I reach my personal goal. And any food tips and any other tips are appreciated
