  1. It is so nice to have family support too by bringing home stuff we can actually eat. At first I was like OMG why are you eating that in front of me but they have to eat too lol and not everyone should have to suffer my liquid diet lol the hubs has been great bringing me home soups after he gets off work going to different places asking what kind if brothy soups they have lol
  2. Yeah I know there are some ether choices but I haven't left the house so they are eating up what we still have at home!!

    Does anyone regret this surgery?

I'm only 7 days out but idk how many times I've told myself I've regretted this but then I sit there and thought I only seem to regret this when my family is eating some kind of greasy fatty food and I regret it because I can't stuff my face like I used to. Then I sit there and say yeah I don't really regret this I regret stuffing my face before and getting to my highest weight of 242 on my 5'4'' frame. On my surgery date I was 219 and today I am 208. So I don't really regret my surgery I'm just having trouble adjusting and I know it will get better each day that passes!!

    Are you COLD?

I'm killing the hubs because I'm always cold and he is sweating but he has been a champ and left the fans off and heat up. Has anyone else had trouble sleeping? I sleep 4 hours tossing and turning the whole time and then can't get back to sleep. Anyone have the same issue? Before surgery I could sleep 10-12 hours at night!! I'm 7 days post op.
  5. I'm 7 days post op and can't stomach anything other than water tea and broth. I haven't had any energy so my kids have had a lot of easy meals pizza frito pie sandwiches etc and man have I wanted to eat so bad. The house is full of chocolates and candy and cakes from Christmas and I've wanted a bite so bad!! I never realized how much my families day revolved around food until now that I can't have it. Kids are bored let's make cookies let's go hang out go to eat go to friends house what can we serve you. Man it's incredible how you realize how much food is part if our lives. I know it's necessary to live but it's amazing how you can live without so much as well. It's hard but I just keep reminding myself it will get better and I have the rest of my life to eat what I want eat less and eat healthier as well as my kids and family. It hurts right now without it because it's new but we will make it!!!

    Cant drink shakes

I'm using the already made muscle milk tomorrow I will try making my own with water. My dr said she wasn't concerned as long as I stayed hydrated as well but I'm literally living off of less than 300 calories a day and I'm very weak everyday. Just getting off of the couch is exhausting having 3 kids the youngest just turned 2 has been horrible without any calories for fuel. Hopefully if I make my own I can get half a shake down. I have heard about the isopure drinks and I'm going to get some ASAP. Thanks for all the suggestions!

    Cant drink shakes

So today I am 6 days post op and I have had a lot of trouble tolerating protein shakes. I can drink water, non caff tea with a little Splenda, broths, and jello but as soon as I take the first sip of protein my stomach gets crazy growling and churning. I get such bad gas I can barely drink 30 cc. Has anyone had this problem? Does it get better? Any suggestions for better protein? I'm currently on liquid diet for another week. Thanks!!
