Here is a picture of my YAY me present for my numbers going down and cutting my Metformin meds in half! The weather is about to get awesome and time to get off my Nordic Trac recumbent bike and enjoy the fresh air! I took it for a spin a while ago and oh my word it is going to give me such a better workout! Life is Good! It's a Schwinn regular old fashion bike too, no fancy gears, just one gear and foot brakes! Just an old fashion bike for an old fashion gal! Lol

I quit smoking prior to my surgery, ( doctor mandated) I used the patch so I could ween myself off the nicotine and used the EZ Blow, vaporizer pen for the hand to mouth habit which actually I found was the worst part of the cigarette addiction for me! You can get the liquid for it in hundreds of flavors with or without nicotene. My husband also quit with me and did the same , we both had smoked for about 45 years, and now have no desire of going back! Good Luck to you!

I found a fantastic hair mask recipe on Pinterest if anyone is interested, really improving my hair and have noticed all kinds of baby hairs growing in. 2 TBSP olive oil 2 TBSP coconut oil or honey ( I use both) 2 TSSP Jamaican black or reg castor oil 1 egg Mix all up, massage into your scalp and then the rest of your hair, cover with plastic cap for 30-60 minutes, rinse shampoo and condition as normal. Repeat once a week Then I also have been using shampoo and conditioner with Tea Tree oil in it, per my stylists suggestion suppose to stimulate the hair follicles. All,I know is my hair is really feeling awesome!

???? Thank you for that! Now I don't feel so guilty about eating that yummy garlic cheese biscuit at Red Lobster last night, lol. First piece of bread I have had in 2 1/2 months! That is the key to our success though I do believe , yes we can have that occasional splurge as long as we go back to our designated way of eating ! Yes, It Is What It Is! Thanks again for the reassurance !

You look wonderful! Good job! And you are so right , it is all about getting healthy! -
I take 250 mg a day have for years as suggested by my PCP when I was diagnosed with IBS, which resolved that problem with prescription meds. I also have High blood pressure and it has never affected it . I put my husband on 500 mg a day only because he was only going once pooh once a week and that was about to drive me crazy! It does work though and I Never had any issues of diarrhea or any other problems

I heard something about the Shakeolgy products the other day, you might want to research them , something about they don't stand up to their claims on the nutritional content. Not as much protein as they claim and way more sugar, I think. Just sayin. . . You might want to check first

Okay so here is my dilemma , I hope it makes sense to someone! I just had my second fill Monday and for the first 24 hours per my doctors instructions I did liquids. When I go to eat, the first couple of bites I have to completely stop and wait a few minutes to resume eating. A couple of times I have had to walk around for a minute. The reason being is because I get the feeling is like I am about to get stuck! I pretty much can feel my esophagus contracting to push the food down, it will hurt like the dickens then stop then, hurt then stop kinda like a pulsating feeling. Then after around 3 or 4 minutes I will burp or hickup and then everything is fine and I can finish my meal with no problems. So has anybody experienced anything like this or am I just weird? I hope this makes sense, kinda hard to explain.

Scheduled 2/27. Need help!
FruitLoop replied to EmilyMikulec's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I think we all have a case of nerves to some point, I had them really bad, almost to the point of backing out! But I am glad I didn't, it is going to be so worth it, actually already is! 31# in 2 months! I didn't tell anyone except of corse my husband and 2/3 kids and my best friend. I didn't tell my one son cause I know him so well, he would make some remark about taking the cheaters way out of losing weight! So not going there with him, love him to death but don't need the negativity, and what really sucks I seem him last weekend and he didn't even notice or say anything to me that I looked different, like come on, I have gone from a size 20 to a 14 ;( , so fooey on him! About your pooh problem , I kinda had the same thing going on, I figured it was just garbage flushing out of my system. But I would check with your doctor to be sure! Best of luck on your journey! You can do this! -

FruitLoop replied to starfish n coffee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Have to agree on the left sided thing, that is the only thing that work and still works for me! This has been the gassiest journey ever for me, banded 2 months ago and still passing it. Like Leepers the first 2 weeks were rough! Good luck and welcome to band land! -
