Super Nurses With Sleeves (Support Group)
MeMaw Nurse replied to Need-a-Sleeve's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
This has been a long winter. I am glad the weather is getting warmer. I hope I can get motivated to get back to walking. I have just had my 1 year anniversary and have lost 38 lbs this past year. I still have more to get off, but am happy with this weight loss so far. I want to keep on getting on the right track for the rest of my life. -

Excess skin - warning photos
MeMaw Nurse replied to AutumnPunkin's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
you do look good and it is good to know it can take up to 2 years for your skin to shrink. I have lost 45lb in 5 months and I am starting to get the hanging skin at the upper arms. I hope it will shrink, but if not it is ok. I was at my GP today and he hadn't seen me in 3 months and he was really impressed with my weight lose. Made me feel good. Thanks again for your pictures. -

Who Was Your Gastric Sleeve Surgeon
MeMaw Nurse replied to boredswfl's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
My surgan was Lawrence Drahota, and the surgery was done at Blue Valley Hospital in Overland Park Kansas. I was pleased with the care I received and with Dr. Drahota who was very good to explain all the risks and outcomes of the surgery to me prior to my surgery. I would recomend him and his hospital to anyone in this area thinking of having surgery. I live on the Missouri side of Kansas City -

I am so happy I think my plateau is broken, I got on the scales for my weekly weight in and I had lost 4 lb. I did increase my water intake so that might have helped. -
