Nursekimberly it worked!! Success! Lol! If anyone else is having this problem, get U by Kotex. I haven't been able to wear a tampon for a long time and now I can!

Nursekimberly: I'm gonna get the Kotex u today and try them. What kind of an applicator do these have? Plastic or cardboard and do you just push it up like the other ones? I really want to use tampons as I am so sick of pads but I tried again this morning and I can't do it! I can't push the applicator up cuz of my weight. It's so frusterating! Thanks so much!

Was diagnosed with it in 2011! I am going to see the pulmonologist that read my report for clearance for surgery instead of one on their list. I am hoping that I don't have to go through another sleep study! And I'm hoping seeing him is enough and I don't have to go see another one on their list! Does anyone have any experience with this? And, how do they handle someone with sleep apnea during surgery and after? Thanks!

How did you decide bypass or the sleeve? I was sold on the sleeve but my best friend who had the gastric bipass a few years back said her dr had told her that a person does not lose as much weight with the sleeve and it takes a long time. She had complications though and was in the hospital twice. I have another friend that just had the sleeve in nov and feels great and said it was the best decision she ever made! I guess now I am just confused about which surgery to have. I have about 150 lbs to lose! Any insight on this is welcome! Thanks everyone!

Hi everyone! I am hoping to find someone on here that is at the same stage as me or close. . I had my seminar a week and a half ago. I am approved by my insurance so that is good. I have my consultation on jan 15th. I already have my appointments scheduled for the cardiologist which is Monday, the psychiatrist and the pulmonologist. Things are moving quickly for me so that is a good thing.

Hi everyone! Happy New Year! I am just wondering if anyone has or had this problem? I don't have a surgery date set yet. I am hungry all the time! It seems I can't get full a lot of times. After surgery will this change with my smaller stomach and all? I sure hope so. It is very frusterating now.

It went really good! I had an EKG and with great results and he said my heart sounds real good! He said he is clearing me for surgery. He is having me go for an echocardiogram on Friday and then I see him again on the 7th. I am nervous because my appointment with him is at 1:15 and then I have my psych eval that day at 3 at a different location. So, I need to figure out how to get from one place to the other! That stresses me out! . I wish everything was in my own town because i would be familiar!! I was really disappointed! When I weighed myself a couple weeks ago I was at 278 and when they weighed me I was at 290. Ugh!!

Hi! I was wondering what made you choose gastric bipass over the sleeve? I have a consultation with the surgeon on Jan 15th and I want to do one or the other! I'm not sure which one yet! I would love some feedback. Thanks!

Islandgal65 I am on Medicare and Medicaid. I am 41 but am on disability. I can't believe they don't require a waiting period but they don't which I am so happy about.

Hello everyone! I am wondering, is there anyone who was diagnosed with sleep apnea a couple years ago, before you had to do the sleep study for surgery? I had my sleep study done in 2011, and was diagnosed then with sleep apnea. I have a Cpap machine! I have an appointment with the pulmonologist who read my test on the 16th of jan. I'm wondered and worried that he will make me go through another sleep study. What do you think? I sure hope I don't have to!

Hi! I have told my family and they are very supportive! Especially my husband, mom and sister! I have 3 kids. My oldest is worried! I don't work any more so I don't have to worry about work! That's good that your friends will be supportive but too bad about your family! I have been checking out this app to see if there is like an instant messanger but don't see one. Hi!! It is so nice to meet you! My name is Stacie. I have between 130 and 150 to lose. I am also going with the sleeve! I have a friend that had it in Nov. And she did great! My best friend had gastric bipass and was in and out of the hospital due to complications. I feel more comfortable with the sleeve. I'm so glad you responded! . What is the reason you can't guzzle liquid after surgery? I'm just wondering. I have my consultation coming up on jan 15th. I'm learning so much from all of you!

Congratulations!! You look great! When did you have your surgery and how much have you lost? I don't have a date yet for mine! I can't wait to get out of the plus size clothes!! It is so depressing! I am so happy for you!!!
