Hi My name is Molly. I will be 61 at the end of the month. I had two lapband surgeries that did not work for me. I chose to have gastric sleeve. I have had depression after my third child was born. I never took off my pregnancy weight and just kept gaining weight till I found myself morbidly obese. Taking antidepressants for depression and panic attacks. I packed on the pounds. I heard about the lapband but was never told not to drink water before eating. Had it with meals. Tried to has gastric bypass but doctor said too much scar tissue from previous surgeries. I almost gave up till I read about gastric sleeve. First doctor told me it would not help me. I changed doctors and finally had my surgery 12/5/13. Lost ten lbs so far. I am taking one step at a time and hoping I will lose another 140 my goal weight. I know I will have to have skin removed if I hit my goal. Looking forward to feeling fit.
