I would like input on how you interrupt the feeling when you hit your sweet spot. I don’t want to confuse it with being to tight. What I am experiencing is a huge reduction in serving size. I can eat maybe 1 ½ Boneless chicken wing from Applebee’s before I get the full feeling in my throat. Is this the sweet spot or is this too tight. :confused2::confused2::confused2::confused2:

Where is your port area ? Do any of you incisions have any red around them, if so draw a circle around it and see if the red area gets bigger. Are they warm to touch ? If the answer is yes to either of the red or warm you may have an infection and will need a antibotic. I would call the doctors answering service they should have a doctor taht would be able to call in something. GOOD LUCK HOPE THIS HELPS

As long as you didnt have problems dont worry, but dont push it while the band is healing. You dont want to PB at this time because it could cause a slip.

I do the same and it has not been a problem for me either.

After my last fill I had the same issues. I thought my stomach was grumpy from the fill. It lasted a few more days and i also had some issues with stuck food and PBing. Was about to call the doc and the feeling went away. Hope this is what happens to you since that fill i have very good restriction.

Went back to coffee in about two to three weeks.

I also get that right there feeling with a lot of things now. If I choose to leave the fill where it is ,how long might this last. Will I see a weight loss if i leave it alone. This is something I could live with for a while if I had to.

I have had similar problems. I find that if I have to throw up from the food that for the next day or two I have problems. I am only assuming that I have irratated my pouch and that’s the reason I can’t eat right.

I have a 10cc band a total of 4 cc in the band my last fill was 2/11/2008. I was eating some chicken and potato skins earlier this week and it got stuck and I know why. Now my question every since then have only been able to eat very little and I get a lump in my throat. It goes away I slime or PB it just goes away on its own. Is it possible I am having a delayed fill reaction. I have read that some times it takes awhile for the fill to kick in. I am scheduled for another fill on the 27th of this month, just wording if I should cancel and reschedule. Any help would be nice.

My doc did not put any in at surgery and would not for 6 weeks. He is following the ALLERGAN guidelines and they seemed to be working for me. He reminded me this is a marathon and not a sprint.

As long as you follow the two basic steps. SMALL BITES and CHEW REALLY WELL. You can eat almost anything.

All my dealings with him have been positive. Since he did the band I plan on staying with him. I have an appt with him at the end of the month. There will be faces from the other office. Sloane,Rose and Barbie.

I just had a baked potato and I ate some of the skin. Seems like a big mistake. Anyone else have this problem with potato skins. I seems as if anything I eat now sits in my throat. Any insight would help

Dont worry. I went through the same thing pre-op, but have had no problems since. You just need to take it one day at a time and try to make good choices tommorow.

I just had my second fill in a 10 cc band (4cc's) I now have problems with some foods getting stuck. Is this what restriction is ?

I also have aetna. I only had to do a three month deal. My first vist was in 08/08/2007 and had my surgery 11/27/2007.

Based on what I was told during my process this will not be enough for approval. You have to be on a supervised weight loss program and they will track your weight loss. I have Aetna insurance so I am not sure the info I am giving is accurate for BC.

Productive burp. It is simalar to throwing up with out the food coming back up. That is what happens when something gets stuck or you over eat. PS Dont drink during a PB session.
