Does anyone regret this surgery?
Wenniegirl replied to Wenniegirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Playlikeworldchamps, thanks so much I have experienced the the thing with the water. I found crystal light tea, 100% grape & apple juice to go down well; but it has to be in crushed ice. Chili has went down great along with baked fish. I don't eat pork but been craving those ribblets from Applebee's its been about 10 + years. My weight has stalled out did you experience this. I will be 1 month out 1/2/2014? -
Ok Butterthebean we are was FAT ASSES wings were an example may had those once a month. Lol....

Butterthebean... you shouldn't be puzzled. Your right the way you and I see things is just that. I never been a big eater what I consume now I ate just a little more than that before the surgery. My food intake has never been huge. Example if I was to order a 10 piece hot wings 6-7 goes to the trash. (Butterthebean) not overly sensitive to this at all maybe a love story that ends with a happy ending or the little girl that fell in the well that was saved yea that maybe. I see alot of threads were most feel their experts. One is here because we are have or will be going through the same thing; but you always find a smarty pants! Its ok...

People don't always get over weight by eating! You may have...I'm really not understanding this group thought it was support; but I see some on here try and tear others down. "Typo"you think. I know my situation. Its ok if you don't agree really it is. I could go on but I will stop here for this is not the place for it.

I am on soft to regular so I pretty much can have anything; but I know I'm not getting enough protein in because of the little amount I can tolerate. I can't eat this in one setting. I use baby spoons for smaller bites. -

Protein anything makes me feel really bad! Is there any other way to get protein in, even the protein bars makes me nauseous. I know its important; but my goodness this stuff is horrible. I was sleeved on 12/2/13 I've lost 24lbs and the scale is now at a stand still SW 243lbs CW 219lbs. Ok what that had to do with protein. Bahaaaa... someone please help.

I totally agree. I have been eating what was instructed to do; but alot of those things don't agree with my sleeve at all so I pretty much been stuck drinking and when I have anything to drink it has to have lots of crushed ice in it. I tolerate crab meat and fish well. I just want to be successful, but I know I have to do what's best for me. I to didn't get over weight by eating.

Its not that I don't trust him, in the beginning when I started the process and the manual I received did not say that. When I returned for my follow up visit he read a book called grain brain and then he got on the bandwagon about this. I just wanted to see what others had to not looking for permission.

Does anyone regret this surgery?

Hi, im almost 1 month post op and I have been regretting my decision since 12/2/2013! I wasn't ready mentally and still far away from accepting it as of today. This is truly a life style change. Im at the stage were I can have soft to regular food and I just hate to eat. Eating has become painful even with the tiny bites its just to much to bare. I rather drink drink; but I no that's not enough. Is there anyone else fighting with this. -
Thanks for the feed back. My doc expect for me to be 20lbs lighter by my next 4 week appointment he said about 5lbs a week. So by 1/15/14 I should be about 20lbs lighter we will see.

Hey I'm 3 1/2 weeks post op down 24lbs. Went to see doc healing well expected to lose 20 more lbs my next Friday week visit. Ok so doc says I can no longer have ANY wheat anything nothing not to mention carbs with wheat out the door to like brown rice, wheat pasta...HUUUMP his words "if it doesn't grow that way its no good". Also he made mention no process food as in things you have to put together meat balls, turkey burgers etc what the Sam hill come on doc! He read a book called Brain Grain something like that and the author says grain is not good for you etc etc. Have anyone heard of this or have anyones doc told them they can't have any of the things mentioned above?
