December 2013 sleevers progress
fishingaaron replied to BiddyBody's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well, this topic was dead for a while. Down 130#, though I do fluctuate a little bit now. Eating well, and exercising often. Though I do have a addiction for peanut butter cups. Things could not be better -

Help! need advice! feel like i am clogged!

I would think the bread would have been digested and been long gone by now. Could be gas, did you try some Gas X strips? Hope you feel better soon. -

I miss having a coke or a piece of candy every so often. Also, not drinking while eating drives me sometimes. Especially when I am downing some spicy Thai food. LOL

Yes, call you Dr., get an ultrasound aned get the thing out before you get a bad attack. I had the exact same symptons as you and had to have mine removed. Surgery was a breeze for me. Hopefully it will be as easy for you if required. My only side effect is that I am a bit more gassy and have gotten some relfux since the surgery. Good Luck

fishingaaron replied to justforme2014's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am 4 months out and tried a little frozen yogurt this past weekend. My stomach handled it ok, but I did end up with a little reflux from it. And I did not eat alot, just several bites. Was delish! -

gallbladder removal and upset stomach/diarrhea?
fishingaaron replied to kyleebean's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had my gall bladder removed this past Friday. Was having pain in the right side under my rib cage and also through my mid back. Now, I just have to deal with a little discomfort from the incisions and a tiny bit of pain in my shoulder from the gas used to expand the belly during the surgery, both of these being very common. My diet has been low fat since I was sleeved in Dec 2013, so I do not need to change it much. My system is still getting back to normal from the surgery (anesthesia) so I am not sure how I will react if I eat a high fat food in the next week or two. Guess I can only experiment and find out, but I am not running out to get a piece of fried chicken to just see what happens either. -

Can't stomach protein shakes/powders/Isopure - Need Help
fishingaaron replied to lisi287's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I use Chike banana and strawberry protien shake mix. I found it to be one of the few I could tolerate, especially the banana. I believe you can order the sample pack from their website chikenutrition.com. I also add PB2 to my shakes to add a touch of penut butter flavor and extra protien. http://www.gnc.com/PB2-Powdered-Peanut-Butter/product.jsp?productId=15329556. They also have a PB2 with chocolate added. Hope this helps. Good luck. -
Anyone experience lots of burping?
fishingaaron replied to FatBastard79's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums

Stalled and Terrified
fishingaaron replied to SoonergirlLayla's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Stalls are frustrating. Just remember they are common as most patients will go through several of them in the first 6 months. One thing I notice in my stall was that my body kept burning fat. I could see me waist getting smaller even though I was not losing weight. Sure enough after about 3 weeks, bam the weight started falling off again. I am currently in my second stall but working hard on kickstartingmy metabolism to start losing weight again. I would also suggest using my fitness pal to track your food and exercise as stated above. Good luck and don't give up. -

Hi. Was sleeved on Dec 5. I have lost 80 pounds since the surgery. I have just started to taper off with the wieght loss as I have stalled for a couple of weeks. I quit taking my blood pressure medicine last week as I was getting alot of head rushes and dizzy spells. Checking my bp daily to make sure it is in the normal range (120/80). I have gone from a 46/48 waist to a 38/40. I have been very fortuante in my recovery as I have had no complications with the surgery or with any foods I have tried to eat. The only negative is that my gall bladder is acting up and will be removed next Friday. All it wanted to do was to make some stones. Poor little guy. LOL -
pain in right side
fishingaaron replied to hopeful2 be slim's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
It depends on the location of the pain on the right side. If it right under your rib cage it could be your gall bladder. I was having slight pain on my right side, under my rib cage. Had ulltrasound yesterday which confirmed the presence of gall stones. Will be removed next Friday. Common side effect of the rapid weight loss from the sleeve surgery. Other symptons of gall stones are indigestion, back pain, nasea and a few more. Google it and see if it is similiar to your experience. -
Day 3 since WLS. Cannot tolerate pain meds. Cannot get much down.
fishingaaron replied to MetroDetroitChic's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
First, I am sorry to see you are strugglin. But know, it will get better. If your Dr. allows it you can try GasX strips to help with the gas. They worked wonders for me right after my surgery. As for the pain, you can only do what your body allows you to do. Just sip on your fluids, walk when you can, even if for just a few seconds. And don't give up. We have all been in your situiation or close to it and we are still kicking and shedding pounds. -
Strange tailbone question
fishingaaron replied to gillengal's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My tailbone just started to hurt at times also. This must be what it is like to have a skinny but. LOL
