OK... this is halarious. I just started PB'ing 2 days ago from my 3rd fill. It is exactly how you guys describe it. Not that PB'ing is funny... but the faces. I now have one too. I am also happy to know it is nothing serious... just me needing to eat slower!!!

Hi all. I was banded on Aug 15th and I have not done as well as hoped on the thin liquid diet for this week. I have however not eaten anything that was not very very soft. The worst was mashed potatoes yesterday. So, I woke up last night with some pain and figured it was just gas, since let's face it... after surgery it pretty much rules your life. But, this morning I am trying to eat my sugar free Jell-O like a good girl and I have this painful sensation when it hits my new stomach. Any thoughts? I am worried I might have screwed up the formation of scar tissue or at worst, caused a distrubtion of the band. What do you guys think??? Thanks!!!!!! :help::faint:

I was banded 8/15/07. Still experiencing some pain, however overall I doing pretty good. I did the preop diet for 1 week, and since the then I have lost 17 pounds, so I am happy. Is it worth it? Only time will tell. The best protein drink?? Strawberry Sorbet by unjury. Welcome to the UNJURY Homepage. I love it and I am very picky about everything!! It is not thick, and actually tastes like fruit punch and has the consistancy too. Good job everyone on their weight loss!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Scared to death

I have asthma, and I was scared too. I think it because they take so many precautions and tell you over and over again what the complications are so, things start to creep into your head. As far as the asthma goes... they are going to have you take all of your inhalers the day of the surg and bring them in with you. I took Albuterol right before I went back for the surg and I had no problems. It helped me a little to remember all the people who go under gen anesth. and are fine. Also, you can take them as needed after your surg, and if you feel like you need or want a treatment afterwards, just let your nurses know. Good Luck, and you will be fine! -
How sore was your abdomen?

I had my surgery a week ago today. I went back to work this Monday, and honestly I could have used another day or so. I actually went home sick Mon because I felt like poo. I would not recommed having the surg on Fri and going to work on Mon. It is just not enough time to heal as well as become comfortable with your new band. -
ACK!!! This cannot be right!

I have found that weighing myself mid-afternoon or evening clothed vs. first thing in the morning naked to show a difference of 3-5 pounds. I would not be too discouraged. Just weigh yourself at the same time every day (best is first thing am), naked and you will see your true results. -
I lost about 50 pounds in a few months a couple of years ago, needless to say it was not done in a healthy way, nor did it last, but I can tell you about 4 months later all may hair began to fall out. I went to a dermatologist and she told me it was because of a shock to your system and it will eventually stop, and it will grow back. I would give it another few months. It will look thin, but don't worry. It will grow back!
