So I was at the grocery store today, and came across this unflavored Protein powder for $11. I grabbed it without thinking, because all the other ones I'd seen were twice that expensive. And it SOUNDED good - 24g of protein, no carbs, 110 calories, some Vitamins added in, so I'm thinking maybe I found a powder that would work for me to stir into Soups and whatnot. But then on the back, I read that it says it's "not intended for weight loss." Does anyone know why this would be? This is the first time I've bought Protein Powder (I had my surgery three weeks ago), so do they all say that as some sort of catch-all warning? I'm looking at the ingredients and I really can't figure out why it wouldn't be suitable for bariatric patients, so I didn't know if maybe anyone here who had experience with this could clue me in. I know it's a blend of Proteins, if that makes a difference - soy, milk, whey, and dried egg albumen which sounds super duper delicious. Anyway, thanks for reading!
