New group for oct sleevers
BriJanaye replied to happymama2014's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi everyone! My surgery have been scheduled for October 1st!!! I am so excited and also so very nervous. This is my first time going under so I have no prior experience to compare what I am about to go through. -
Hi All, I'm currently enrolled in Kaiser's mid atlantic program. I currently have the select plan and I would like to get my surgery done at Johns Hopkins. I'm in month 5 of this 6 month process. I would like to know if any of you who have Kaiser went to Johns Hopkins for their surgery? Thanks!

Hi Mimi, Thanks for the update. Talk with your surgeon to see what he/she can do for you. I've already been approved to have my surgery at GBMC through Kaiser. I am just waiting on my surgery date.

Hi mimi, I have Kaiser Select. So, now I am going to GBMC. Kaiser said they only approve patients for bariatric surgery at John Hopkins if a patient has major complications prior to surgery.

Only once class left!

Congratulations Nurse Jenny! My 6 out of 6 class is June 9th. I am amazed at how this 6 month process is basically training me to lead a healthier lifestyle. Setting the time on your phone is a good idea. I am going to try that with my meals as well. How are you doing with your exercise? Keep up the good work! -
Hi Heather! My name is Brittany and I am currently in the process for the sleeve procedure. I reside in Harford County, MD and I am in month 6 of the six month process. My paperwork will be submitted the second week of June. I know Harford County is a ways from Hagerstown but if you need a support system, you can count me as one! Please feel free to PM me.

Hi Ladies, I stated previously that I am with Kaiser and their process is a 6 month process. So, I've been thinking of ways to pass the time and focus on other aspects of my life that don't evolve around food. With that being said, I'm hosting a an adult toy party at my place in Harford County and I would love to have you all there. Maybe we can also plan some future get-togethers to keep each other encouraged and motivated? If you're interested in either one of those things, please send me a private message and we can vet the ball rolling. Thanks!

Congratulations Freezyfree on finishing up your 6 month visits! I am in month 2 of the 6 months. How soon were you able to schedule your surgery after you completed your 6 month visits? Thanks! -
Workout Buddies in Harford County MD
BriJanaye posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello All! I'm new to this forum so please forgive me if my post/ thread is a little redundant. I am just starting the 6 month supervised diet with my nutritionist. In order to help jumpstart my weight loss journey and healthy lifestyle, I'm in need/want of a workout buddy in Harford County. I have a Planet Fitness membership and could use the company and accountability. Thanks! -
This is my first post! I'm a Kaiser patient who is just starting the journey. I live in Harford County but work in Baltimore City.
