I did it!!!! Pain level was high when I woke up. They gave me meds and they helped a lot!!! Now, I'm just on Torradol because I want to get better and go home! So far, it's been a very good experience. -
It's better than I thought it would be. I needed pain meds as soon as I woke up and they worked wonders. Now, it's 2:30 am and I am only on Torradol-nothing really crazy.

Thank you everyone! So I'm still the same (down 6 pounds) during pre-op and tomorrow is the big day! If my 5 year old would stop saying, "Mommy, don't go" I think I would be fine. Let's hope the next 15 hours go by quick!! -
I am scheduled for tomorrow, March 3rd and I am also having my surgery in Philadelphia and traveling in a snow storm. Wishing all my fellow sleeves the best of luck tomorrow. We got this!!!

Day 13-PreOp. Weight is the same (down 6) and I'm starting to get a little nervous but more so that I'll go through all this and not end up losing weight. I've been going on other people's sites and see how much weight they are dropping which is helping. Today I will clean my house and get ready for surgery! Happy Saturday everyone! -
I'm from Jersey Shore (10 mins from Seaside). Going to be sleeved in 48 hours! ????

After Surgery Feeling Depressed
Jerziegirl replied to Sheedah Monet's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi! Here is what I think.... Depression is to be expected. If you were using food to fuel feelings and the food is no longer doing that, you will feel a loss which can result in depression. Don't let this overwhelm you! We are all here in these forums because we are all in the same boat. We have all overused food and truthfully, it is not helping us at all. It's expected that you will mess up from time to time but if you allow this, I am sure you will feel worse later. Try harder! 33 pounds is almost 10% of your body weight and that's an enormous achievement! Shake it off and make better choices and in a few weeks when you hit 40 and then 50 pounds, it's going to make you feel better than those cookies ever did! Also, think about how you want to take care of your body. You're only 18 days out of surgery and I am sure that's not helping your healing stomach. You came this far....see it through! We are all here to listen, not judge. Good luck to you! You'll do great-believe in yourself and the process. -
