    Tennessee Lap Banders

:rolleyes2::confused::confused:Dr. Charles Morton did my LB at Baptist on Halloween. Down 22 lbs. and looking for a support group or to start a support group in Hendersonville. Just had my 3rd fill and getting bored with chicken. I only lost 1 lb in 6 weeks hoping the fill I got Monday will help. Exercising is my need and I get so bored with it. Need to have someone pushing me.

    4 months out and struggling

I am really struggling with the food I eat. Not eating what I need too and eat sweets more often than I did prior to surgery. Need to exercise!!! I get real disgusted with myself to think about the surgery and the cost and now I am back to eating in my old style. I have an appt. tomorrow with doctor and am looking for a local support group to help with encouragement and maybe an exercise group. I will get past this stall and bad eating habits. Thanks for listening.

    Gas?

I was banded 10-31-07 and do have a lot of gas. It is not the painful kind that backs up into your check. Just the need to pass gas. I have lost 30 lbs and believe me the gas is worth it. My grandkids think is terribly funny.

    Thinking about banding

Thanks, I am sure I will have plenty more conversations before this process is over. It is nice to be able to get feedback from someone who has been there.

    Thinking about banding

My husband is concerned as I am about the long term effect of the surgery and if I will have to be banded for life? I have an appointment with my dr. next week for the insurance requirement evaluation. I have the paperwork filled out for the surgeon and his group of workers who consult with you prior to making the final decisions. I am a little scared of the long term, however it seems to beat the gastric bypass procedures hands down. Does anyone know if hair loss is an issue as it is with some of the other procedures out there?:clap2::clap2:
  7. I am seriously considered the Lap Band procedure, if you had it to do over, would you? What has been the hardest part post op?:guess
