I was banded on the 15th, all went well with surgery. However, The bloating is awful, I have never been so hungry and full at the same time. I think I have cried more the last two days than I have in the last two years. But, at the same time I don't regret anything, I'm glad I've done this, just saying for anyone who is considering Lap band, please be prepared for the emotional part of this. I kept telling myself, girl you had two children you can do this, its different....the pain of having a child is instantly rewarded as soon as you hold and see that child....it will be six months to a year to be rewarded for this. But it will come! Well I've ranted enough....I'll go sip on my watered down apple juice......I'm sure I'll feel better tomorrow and be more positive.

I'm so glad I got on sight this morning, I was feeling very nervous and unsure of every thing. I will be having my surgery in 3 days. WoW....Came faster than I thought it would. But reading all the comments, knowing what I'm going through is exactly the same as some of you...I don't feel so CRAZY. Seriously, its comforting knowing its a normal thing to worry, second guess yourself, be nervous...all these feelings are ok. I've made a decision (and a GREAT one) to make my life better and I will stick to my guns. So, I will go drink my protein shake, and be thankful!

When do you know when it's time to get first lap band fill? The reason I'm asking is, I'm getting surgery done in Mexico, I would like to schedule a trip back for fill a head of time so to save on plane ticket cost. The Dr. here want fill until three months after surgery. I'm sure I'll need one before the three months is up. Can someone plese share there experiance with me regarding there first fill. This is the only issue I'm worried about, with my choice of having surgery done in Mexico.

Hi, Good for you on getting your band. I haven't gotten mine yet, so I can't help on the topic of how your feeling. I do hope all is well with you. Did you have surgery in Texas? I have lots of questions, but know your not up to it right now. WHen your feeling a little better maybe we can chat a little. Take care of your self!

I'm so happy for you, and like you I too am nervous and will be getting my lap band done Jan. 16th 2014.

My date is Jan. 16th with Dr. Joya in Puerto Vallarta, MX. Has anyone used him?
