Well that was nice of him just to move to Israel. I can say that my doctor doesn't do my fills. I go through true results. I'm not sure if they do patients they haven't seen but I wouldn't see the problem. Maybe you can give them a call and just ask if they can. -
Just got my first fill today. Everything went well. But for some reason I'm getting this pain in my shoulder. Something like what our gas pain is like after surgery. My question is, has anyone else experienced this?

First fill since being banded 11-22-13

You might have some fluid in there but of course not enough. Not exactly right after your fill. That's the point where we're trying to get too. It may take a few fills to reach that. But if course people have different experiences with that. -
First fill since being banded 11-22-13

Well congratulations. Wow there taking alil longer then usual for ur first fill. I guess just like me, I would say. At first I was scared, the first time then I didn't get it. But the second attempt I was more excited to finally get this thing going. So I feel you on that. It just normally depends on how much ur doctor puts in ur band while in surgery. Mine put 3cc so my first fill they just out another 1cc. There's another lady on here she started off I believe it was at 1.5cc and filled to 2cc. Don't worry about dumb questions, the only dumb question is the one not asked. The green zone which was explained to me was you eat meal in about 20-30 minutes and stop there or if your full before then. The point of the green zone is to be full for a good 4-5 hours or so without being hungry. Now you should be getting full at or around 1/2-3/4 cups of food. Hopefully this makes sense. -
I'm feeling fine. Yea I'm getting fuller alittle faster but not quite staying full. Getting hungry again around the 3 or 4 hour. So I guess I can say I have not reached my green zone. Good luck with ur fill.

I love grapes myself. My trick is since the skin is hard to grind up with ur teeth, I just eat the grapes normally and all the inside of the grape comes out by itself. And your just left with the skin. So I just spit it out. Sounds weird but it works for me. So that way I'm not wasting time peeling the grape or worrying about if I chewed the grape enough. Hope this makes sense. Lol

Thank you so much. That helped alil and made me feel more at ease. I did call my doctor, just waiting for him to call me back because he's not in his office. -
Thanks. Wow yea they did put alot in me. Yea it's rough right now, my stomach is growling up a storm.

Oh k so I had my doctors appointment today. Lost three pounds. The head nurse was pleased with my incision said it looked good. So she gave me my first fill. It fell really weird and hurt alil but I handled it. So far I'm doing pretty good. And of course started my liquid diet. I have a 10cc band. My surgeon put 3cc in it and true results just put in another 1cc.
-
Oh man that sucks. I'm sorry they did that to you. I would of been pissed off. But glad the director handled that situation very well. So I go Friday, hopefully they feel my incision is healed enough so I can get my fill. It's actually doing better. Gotta say though that was very unprofessional for that office to do that to you. Their just making a bad name for true results.

Lol don't know why I put Dde04. Have no clue what that means. Lol.
-
You should be. I'm going to be just as excited when I get mine. ????. Good luck.

Hello. It's great to find people near me. Your name suits well. You have to remember this isn't a race. Everyone loses at their pace. 30 pounds is 30 pounds. I'm no expert but it would have to depend on what you eat and what type if workout your doing.

Hey people, how is everyone? I was banded on the 22nd of November. Was just looking for a band buddy I can chat with. It's hard dealing with this alone, no one understands what us bandsters are going through.
-
Oh ok. Thanks for that info. Well if I do get filled Friday I'll let u know. If not I'll probably still let you know. Lol.
-
Yea that would be great. I have to wait till Friday now to see if I can get a fill. I've watched a couple of YouTube videos where the doctor was really pushing on the persons stomach trying to find the port. I wonder though if it's a good thing mine is almost right at the surface. What is it going to look like when I lose this fat around it. Will I be able to see it? That's my question and concern.
-
I'm suppose to go back this week sometime just to check out my incision. The nurse didn't do It cause they have to go right through the healing scab. I know exactly where my port is, I can feel it. Yea keep me updated. I doubt I'll have my fill by then but we shall see when I go to true results. Hopefully they give it to me cause I think I really need this fill.
-
How was it with your first fill? I have still yet to get mine. My incision hasn't healed and my doctor put my port right underneath it.

Hello Kimberly. Congrats in your banding. My name is Stephanie and I've been banded for 6weeks. I live in spring. So far I've loss 33 pounds. Wow! 33 pounds is great! It's nice to meet someone fairly close to me going through the same experience. Yea same here, nice to meet you too. I'm trying to find friends here that are dealing with this like us. It's definitely hard being alone. I have great friends and family but I don't think they understand what I'm truly going through. My mom says she's supportive, but she's been trying to sabotage me since pre-op. I just have my mom out here, no friends out here. My mom kinda does the same thing. She'll say I'll get thus and give u half. It's something I can't eat. I tell her over and over I can't eat that. Finally told her don't force me food I can't eat. But she's the only physical supporter I have right now.

Yea i think that would be a great idea. Not sure who sets these up. Or if we can set up a place and time for us in the spring/cypress area. -

Is there going to be another support group meeting soon for Houston bandsters? I was thinking about attending one.
