I don't really measure. I just eat non-fried Protein first (usually chicken, sometimes beef pork or turkey), then a cooked veggie (green Beans carrots, never corn :-(. And then I sometimes eat a bit of mashed sweet potatoes or something. It's whatever my family is eating, just much smaller portions. Using a smaller plate really helps. It took a little while to learn how much to eat. For a while i as just filling up on protein.
I too have eaten a slice of pizza once or twice. But instead of pepperoni and black olives...times 3 or 4. I eat one slice of chicken pizza. Yum! I'm still scared to add some new things. I've heard bad things about salads too soon...working up the courage. Good luck to all!!
