  1. I was banded 9/5/07 and just wanted to know if anyone weight is going down slow? For the last 2 months I haven't lose a pound. I have to admit that I get fustrated and go ahead and it the fried crab cakes just because I haven't lost any weight(Which is the same attitude that got me obese in the first place).I don't eat very much but just don't seem to be losing much. And onw day I'm 181 and the very next day I'm 184. I am always hungry but really can't eat much so unsure if I need a fill. I try to eat fish ,tuna, crabs(boiled), shrimp or crawfish and beans black,red and white mostly. So don't know why the weight is not moving.I walk 5 days a week most of the time, but know less than 3. So could some one give me some advice ?:rolleyes2:
  2. Hi all, I don't understand how one day I can eat something and it goes down sooooo good and the very next day it's horrible!! I got a fill last monday and I feel like my band has to warm up first before I can really start eating? Is anyone else like that? And if so, what do you do? In the morning I drink tea or coffee but I'm trying to find someting else because after a hour I am starving when i drank it. So can anyone put a little light on this situation for me. thanks
  3. I'm hoping that this fill is "the one". I hate having to drink soup for 2 days. Has anyone got any soup ideas? I really have to share with you my latest fill experience with you. My Dr. waits to give me pain in my stomach like you wouldn't beleive. He stuck me 5 times with that super long needle before deciding to use fluro on me ."5 TIMES". I was so outdone! I hope that i don't need a fill for a long time!!:thumbup:
  4. Is there anyone feeling that it is harder to lose weight with a lower bmi? I have only lost 29lbs in 5 mths.
  5. Everybody keep saying that! But I lose 3-4lbs after my fill is done and then don't lose anthing til my next fill. I get so mad at myself, I try to eat the right foods but once a month I might eat icecream (small portion)or something else I know I'm not suppose to have,but still can't lose much.I am 185 and was 223. September 5 is my banded date. I am truly a "slow loser." Oh, I don't excersie but I don't over eat.
  6. I was introduced to "the daily plate" last week. And I have to confess I was thinking what could this do for me. Well, all I can say is I have been losing 2lbs a week since I have been keeping track of what i eat. So give it a try and let me know what you think!!     Any 9/07 bandsters losing slower?

    Don't feel bad.I only lost 40lbs myself,but my dr. didn't give me a certain amount of food to eat. But i don't understand if you need a fill,why isn't he giving you one? Some of these dr. or so full of sh.. But don't you give up. I get depressed some times too, but i look at it this way--I lost 40 and i only have forty more to go. And I pray that I can do it before my year is up but if I don't I know one thing----it is coming off, even if its sloow!:biggrin:
  8. IF ANYONE WAS BANDED ON 9/5/07 I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW YOU ARE DOING WITH YOUR WEIGHT LOSE. I ONLY LOST 29LBS SO FOR . I KNOW MOST OF YOU HAVE LOST ALOT MORE THAN THAT!
  9. Just when you think you've figured out your band(BAM) IT TAKES A NEW TURN!! I have resceduled three fill appointments because one minute I'm loose and the next minute I'm tight! How and when do I know it's time. I'm not rushing to get a fill and then be fustrated when I'm to tight. It's been almost 2 1/2 months since my last fill. But sometimes I can eat way to much and then sometimes I can't hardly get water down. I have been almost the same weight for the last 1 1/2 months, but scared to get a fill because sometimes I am just to tight. It's 7 months and I would like to know if it will get a little better for me ? I just don't know what to do! If someone could relate please let me know!! Oh and I started walking for the last few days and lost 1 lbs. I was so excited this morning when I got on that scale.
  10. My Dr. has constantly said No to any type of smoothie or Protein drink. He only wants me to eat hard protein. T he problem is the last few months when its"that time of the month" I get so tight that I can't have much of anything but protein drinks, smoothies or soup. But my Dr. still wants me to EAT my protein and if I drink anything he is goinig to give me an unfill. I don't want that because I'm already hungry alot. But it's only when it's "that time" so what should I do? I don't want to lie and hurt my self but I really don't think I need a unfill!Please somebody HELP!!

    Losing 100 in a year?

    Is 2 miles a day not enough to lose weight? Are should I do a little more? I hate exercise(work out):smile2:, but I love to walk!!

  14. In the morning and afternoon "only aroundTOM" I can't eat much of anything until the evening. Then I probably eat to much:rolleyes:that evening. But a few days after"TOM" I can eat very well. But if I go to the Dr. and get a unfill I will eat like no tomorrow!!! So I will wait and see if I can eat hard Proteins in a few days.Is smoothie King a no no?Even if I get the low calorie with a little protein?:confused2:
  15. :confused:Please help me, is there a difference in a protein drink and a smoothie with protein? My Dr. does not want me to drink any type of smoothie or protein drinks, but I 'm to tight in the morning to eat anything and I'm starving until I'm able to eat. So does anyone have any suggestions.

    This is our 7th month!

    I am a slow loser! I only lost 38-40lbs so for. It has been very difficult, but my Dr. wants me to lose that way. I started at 223 and had my sudrgery on Sept. 9 2007, so I reaaly look at you all and wish it was me. But i try to look at it as I only have 45lbs to go before I am at my goal weight. But I have a question for you guys, Do any of you drink like smoothies or protein drinks? My Dr. tells me not to do drinks,but it is hard for anything to go down early. I know I should listen to him but I get tempted to drink one in the morning so I 'M NOT STARVING!!

    Anyone Banded 9/5/07 ?

    Great Job! We got banded the same day and I lost about 38lbs.I also was hoping to have at least lost 50lbs,but if I don't lose another pound I am glad I decided to do this. I was 223 and now I'm 185. So, keep me informed !! O.K
  18. I was banded 9/5/07 and when I go for a fill I lose 2-3lbs right after my fill.Then I don't lose anything for a month or so. What is up with that? I have lost about 33lbs. Does anyone find that that is a little slow? My last fill was 02/17/08 and I have some restriction, but just not really losing any weight. So what do I do?:biggrin:
  19. I really thought i was going to do danger to my band! I threw-up like a dog for two days.I really thought I was going to have to go to the hospital,but all i could remember to do is drink alot of water and fluids. I haven't got on the scale yet and not really in any rush. I realized then, that I don't need to lose weight like that. I ate icecream once, just to have some kind of calories in my body, since i could' hold much down. But I' m feeling a little guilty about it ,but you had to be there to know how I felt. So, does anyone out there can relate?? :confused2:

  22. I know that everybody is different, but how often (approximately) do you get filled. Like I said, I know everybody is different but it's good to know if your close to what everyone else is! I have been going 1 time a month.

    breakfast

    I'm having the same problems. It's so hard to eat in the morning I think I will just skip breakfast. I tried the Protein drinks. I really didn't like it!!:confused:
  24. I still don't know what to eat after being banded for almost 6mths. I have been eating fish,tuna and chicken. I just don't know what to eat anymore. We it out alot, but I always order fish or something healthy. Now i find myself doing the same thing I use to do before I got banded. For breakfast(IF I EAT IT ) I wonder what I will eat for lunch. For lunch I try to figure out what I will eat for supper. And it 's usually the same foods. I just want to do the right thing. I am a slow loser , and maybe I'm not eating the right foods.I also eat yogurt and fruit. sometimes I eat a sweet potatoe(baked). So does anyone have any suggestions, for fast easy meals!!
